Hi-Fi Rush's original soundtrack has been randomly removed from all major music streaming services, including Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music.
When it was originally announced that Xbox was shutting down Tango Gameworks, many Hi-Fi Rush fans were concerned about the game eventually being delisted, especially because it contains so much licensed music. Those concerns were mostly put to rest when Crafton acquired the Tango and Hi-Fi Rush IPs, but it doesn't appear to have been all that straightforward.
For some strange reason, Hi-Fi Rush's original soundtrack has been completely scrubbed from all major music streaming services, including Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music. It's unclear why the soundtrack was recently removed or if it will be added back, but it has sent many fans back into a spiral of worry about the future of the first game.
One of the most important parts of the hi-fi rush has been removed from all streaming services.
How can I go through my day without hearing a pulse?!
The removal of Hi-Fi Rush's soundtrack was first spotted on the Hi-Fi Rush subreddit by Redditor Xthebest26, who reported two days ago that all of the game's music had been removed from Spotify without warning. As someone who has a bunch of game songs saved up, I can confirm that they're all gone as of the time of writing, with streamer-friendly replacements for the various needle drops.
It's not just a Spotify issue, either, as the Hi-Fi Rush soundtrack has also been delisted from Apple Music. YouTube Music also doesn't have Hi-Fi Rush's soundtrack outside of rips from users, though I can't confirm if it was previously on the platform. With that in mind, this is clearly a problem with soundtracks rather than streaming services.
Tango and Krafton haven't commented on the soundtrack being removed, so it's unclear why it happened without warning on multiple platforms. This is likely a copyright issue that could arise from the IP changing hands between Xbox and Krafton, so hopefully this will be resolved in the near future, or at least commented on. The soundtrack was distributed by Bethesda on Spotify, so it has probably been transferred to Krafton and Tango.
Considering Hi-Fi Rush still doesn't have its promised physical release and Crafton just announced that it's going all-in on AI, this is another worrying sign for the future of the series, if it ever pans out.
