Harry Reid
Get on the helicopter!
Harry Reid is inside Resident Evil requests Very briefly as a helicopter pilot who presumably works for the hospital and the game's villain, Victor, in some capacity. Once the players get the key to escape from the helicopter, Grace, Emily, and Harry all try to take off when the zombie army attacks the launch pad, causing a tumultuous takeoff.
Once airborne, the helicopter soon crashes into a set of trees, where it is revealed that Harry is impaled by a branch. Resident Evil Often its secondary characters aren't treated well, but the violence and abrupt nature feel a bit awkward even for a horror game. Harry wasn't supposed to survive the game, but he could have played a bigger role, or at least Grace could have been more sympathetic.

Richard Aiken is one of the members of the Stars who make it to the Spencer Mansion in the first game, but his role, along with several other members of the Stars, is expanded in the GameCube remake. Resident Evil. In the game, players can choose to play as Jill Valentine or Chris Redfield, and their partners and stories will vary, but they will essentially go through most of the same set pieces inside the mansion.
One big difference between the two is how Richard dies. Chris stumbles upon him at the aquarium, where he pulls Chris away before being eaten by a large shark. In Jill's scenario, he bravely steps in to save her from a giant snake, but dies seconds later. At least with Jill, he dies a hero's death, but with Chris, it's just messy. Other factors at play may have led to Richard's death, but these are the main ones worth noting.
Mikhail Victor
Get off my train!
Mikhail Victor is one of the mercenaries who hire Umbrella to take care of business in Raccoon City. His death is slightly different in between Resident Evil 3: Nemesis and its 2020 remake. Both die on the train after Jill repairs it, as the remake version of the train is more elaborate. Unfortunately, Nemesis rides in both versions, leading to Mikhail's death.

Steve is one of the playable characters Resident Evil – Code: VeronicaWhom Claire Redfield meets on the prison island she was brought to. His trademark weapon is his golden lugers, and while he may not be a fan-favorite character due to his high-pitched voice and some of his questionable actions, his death is undeserved.
The two manage to escape the island only to be recaptured, causing Steve to begin experimenting. Perspectives then Chris, Claire's sister, who attempts a rescue mission. Unfortunately, Steve turns into a monster before being rescued and nearly kills Claire. However, because he is in love with Claire, Steve manages to suppress his transformation and dies shortly after doing so. It's a bittersweet ending for Claire as she potentially loses a love interest.

When it comes to death in the game, Final Fantasy 7 As the remakes begin, fans have a certain character that they want to live up to. for the Resident Evil 4 Fans, they also had a character death that they wanted to avoid in the 2023 remake of the game, but unfortunately, it still happened. In both games, Leon S. Kennedy meets Lewis, a researcher, after they bond together. After escaping, they bump into each other several times, with Louis helping in any way he can.
In his moment of triumph, Louis gets Leon some pills to stop the parasite from killing him, but out of nowhere the main villain, Sadler, stabs Louis in the back. in Resident Evil 4 In the remake, Capcom teases fans that Lewis will die the same way in order to advance in the game, but this time, Krauser, Leon's former trainer, is the killer. It's also just a dagger, so it doesn't mean much compared to Saddler's giant tentacle.

Resident Evil 6 With the core, it is divided into three main campaigns Resident Evil Joined characters with new faces. Leon with Helena Harper, Sherry Birkin with Jake Muller and Chris with Piers Nivans. In the final act of Chris' campaign, Pierce injects himself with the C-Virus to gain more power to help a dying Chris, but it also changes him. Although Pierce and Chris make it to the escape pod after this incident, Pierce puts Chris in the pod, launches him, and then dies in the underwater base.

Piers might be fine if they found a suppressor for the C-Virus, or maybe he could control it, like so many others. Resident Evil Characters controlling diseases like Albert Wesker. Of the three new partner characters, Pierce is the only one who dies, making it even stranger.

Xeno is another new character in the franchise, appearing for the first time in the middle Resident Evil requests. He is a mysterious benefactor to Victor who provides him with everything he needs in Raccoon City in his search for Elpis. Between Xeno's sunglasses and moves, it looked like Capcom was going to make him another Wesker, but then things changed in the Umbrella Arc feature. Not knowing what Elpis is, Zeno injects it into his body and then begins to weaken as it is not a biological weapon, but a cure.
Robbed of his Wesker-like powers, Victor then kills him with a clear head chip, and that's the end of Xeno. There aren't any boss fights with him, which leads to wasted potential for the villain. In a way, it should be applauded because Capcom subverted expectations. However, it's also a strange thing to do with such a well-designed villain.
Ethan Winters
Dead Before Trilogy
The worst death in the entire franchise between playable and non-playable characters has to be Ethan Winters. Resident Evil Village. Ethan came in first Resident Evil 7: BiohazardAnd he passed a heck of a test on that one Resident Evil Hero United. He goes through the ringer in this sequel as well, seeing his wife die in front of him, his daughter dismembered, which he must magically reassemble, and the amount of arm trauma is staggering.
After meeting Mother Miranda, the game's main villain, Ethan feels heartbroken as if she is channeling Mola Ram. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. Through it all, Ethan survived because his body was made of a special mold, the Megamycete, which allowed him to fight his mother Miranda and save his daughter Rose. After defeating him, the Megamycete begins to shrink, and since Ethan is part of this hive mind system, he begins to crystallize as well. In the DLC, Ethan returns to Rose's memories, but in the end, he remains dead. Torturing a character through two games and then killing off that main character isn't something most developers would think of, which leaves a lot of potential for Ethan on the table.
