But another key element of his arc is how the power rankings of Class 1-A and 1-B changed drastically at this point. Some students proved to be stronger than expected, while others performed as expected and others disappointed their classmates. It was time to reassess what all first-years at UA were capable of.
6 My Hero Academia Characters Who Deserved a Good Ending
These My Hero Academia characters really got the short end of the stick when it came to how their stories ended.
Familiar powerhouses like Deku, Shoto, and Fumikage had some impressive moves to show, though Fumikage fell victim to Kinoko's mushroom at the last second, and Deku wasn't completely under Blackwhip's control when it appeared. Thus, Shoto Todoroki emerged as the top fighter of that particular arc, eventually surpassing Bakugou as a student who became comfortable with his powers. Critically, Shoto fully embraced the fire side of his Quirk, and he even managed to go Plus Ultra after coasting on his Quirk's ice powers for so long. Shoto still had a ways to go, but his progress was amazing as of this arc.
Hidden Raid Arc: Everything can happen
United States of Smash was All Might's swan song
The Hideout Red arc directly followed the Forest Training Camp arc, and My Hero Academia Fans can lump them together as the saga of Bakugou's capture and rescue with the League of Villains. The power levels of the cast were similar in these two connected arcs, so viewers can focus on the Hideout Raid Arc to decide who is the strongest character. The symbol of evil, one for all, threatened to be #1 as he massacred the supporting heroes, but then the symbol of hope eclipsed him.
All Might is a true hero not just because of his strength, but because of his unwavering courage and his willingness to sacrifice everything for one last punch to save the day. Scraping together the remaining embers for everyone, All Might delivered a United States smash to win as the top fighter in the Hideout Raid Arc, but it was an uneasy victory. The bulwark against the villain was gone, and no one was ready to replace him as other villains rose to power due to the latest defeat of One for All.
Shi Hsaikai Arc: Overhaul
Overhaul's quirk boasts endless potential uses
It was in the Shi Hasaikai arc when Izuku Midoriya felt like a true hero called Deku. It's true that Deku saved Izumi Kota from Muscular in season 3, but season 4's Shi Hasaikai hit differently. Deku dressed up and vowed to save Ari no matter what, making him feel less like a corner student and more like a pro hero with a duty. This called for an incredible villain to test Deku's resolve, and that villain arrived in the form of Overhaul.

Mirio Togata and Deku were both impressively powerful in the Shi Hasaikai arc, but alone, neither of them can top Overhaul's terrifying power. Deku wins in the end, but that's only because of Ari's risky rewind strategy that uses the full power of One for All to heal his body. In a 1v1 battle, Overhaul could not be defeated in the Shi Hsaikai arc, making it even more miraculous how Deku and the other heroes finally managed to take down Overhaul's criminal empire. At the last second, Tomura destroys Overhaul's armor to render him powerless, but overall, Overhaul is still the strongest fighter in this arc, even with Tomura around.

in My Hero AcademiaIn the 6th anime season, the explosive Paranormal War Arc detonates to begin the final showdown between heroes and villains. Or rather, this arc ushered in an age of war where heroes and villains would battle until one side claimed dominance over Japanese society once and for all. Off-screen, he was once an unbeatable juggernaut of evil, but after his defeat at Kamino Ward, fell out of his ranks. My Hero AcademiaThe strongest fighters. Only in the epic Final War arc did All For One return to the upper echelons of power to become the #1 cast member of the Final War arc.
Other heroes and villains also wield titanic power at the time, such as Tomura and Deku, but All For One has the lead, if a narrow one. He once again brought several Quirks to bear on the battlefield as a one-man army, using Dragon Ball– Caliber attacks to blast large chunks of terrain as he fights. The villain also used Eri's Rewind Quirk to buy himself some extra time, a twisted version of Eri lending his Quirk to Deku to fight Overhaul a few seasons back.
