Digimon Story: Time Unknown arrives on Nintendo consoles on July 10
With third-party titles being the focus of the February 5 Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, Bandai Namco confirmed that one of last year's best titles will soon be on Nintendo consoles. Digimon Story: Time Stranger The Switch and Switch 2 will launch on Friday, July 10, with both physical and digital versions planned. In addition, the version of Switch 2 Digimon Story: Time Stranger There are two graphics options that players can choose from, called Quality Mode and Performance Mode. Quality mode will allow Digimon Story: Time Stranger To run at 4K resolution with HDR support when docked and connected to a supported TV, though the frame rate will be locked at 30 FPS. HDR is also available in handheld mode. By comparison, Performance mode will allow the game to render at 1080p resolution at 60 FPS.
However, performance mode and quality mode are not available in the Switch version, and data cannot be saved between different ports of the game. Additionally, when playing on the Switch 2 console, the Switch version of Digimon Story: Time Stranger It will allow users to download a free update that unlocks Performance Mode and Quality Mode. Digimon Story: Time Stranger And its downloadable content, including Alternate Dimensions and Gaku-Ran episodes, can now be browsed on the Nintendo eShop ahead of the July 10 launch date. Players will need to set aside at least 12GB to 16GB of storage space, depending on the game version.
Pre-order for base and final versions of Digimon Story: Time Stranger are available now on the Nintendo eShop for the respective prices of $59.99 and $109.99. However, the Switch and Switch 2 ports are listed separately. Following the partner showcase, Bandai Namco confirmed on social media that Quality Mode and Performance Mode options are coming. Digimon Story: Strange Timer's Switch 2 port will arrive to the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of the game as part of a free update coming at a later date.
