However, Bungie said that players will not have to unlock factions again when the season starts. Cosmetics, milestone rewards, and codex progression will also be completed. The developer also said that there may be other forms of progress that over, but it does not provide specifics.
“Each season of Marathon brings a clean slate to the entire community with a progression reset. These resets include everyone's gear, contract progression, faction progression, and player level,” Bungie wrote in the post.
