Best hidden things in Valheim
To automate the production of wood and stone from the deathskito ride, here are some interesting little features that are hidden in Walheim.
The real-life Walheim bestiary is coming together surprisingly well
A month later, the bestiary is coming together surprisingly well, with Itchy_Mycologist_848's updates continuing to attract attention. Walheim Community. One thing that has consistently impressed fans is the fact that the book is not just a collection of art prints, but contains detailed pen-and-ink illustrations. The letters are just as complicated, as Itchy_Mycologist_848 revealed based on their script WalheimRunestones while writing in Ukrainian.
This Valheim Bestiary was aged with an undrinkable black tea bath
In addition to its detailed illustrations and lettering, the bestiary shows a remarkable level of detail in its physical presentation. According to Itchy_Mycologist_848, the pages were stained with a black tea bath using approximately 100 grams of tea and 2.5 liters of water. For reference, this tea-to-water ratio is about five times stronger than standard brewing methods, producing a liquid with little aroma that is extremely bitter to drink but thick enough to create a vintage appearance. The result is a seasonal book that wouldn't look out of place resting on a table Walheim long house
Updates shared so far suggest that the author has started populating the bestiary following the norm Walheim Playthrough progression, starting with Creatures of the Meadows and Black Forest. In most cases, entries are grouped by biome, although there are exceptions. For example, the Serpent Page does not appear alongside other ocean biome creatures but is placed between the Black Forest and Swamp sections. This ordering reflects the player's likely order of encounters, with snakes being a relatively common scenario after building a ship in search of a swamp biome with a preference for encountering it. The author has so far illustrated several in-game animals – boars, deer and crows – along with various legendary mobs, including Nex, Shortlings, Droghes and Wraiths. Meadows Boss, a giant stag named Eikthyr, is also featured in one of the shared images, with several pages and illustrations dedicated to it.
The Walheim Bestiary creator doesn't plan to sell it, but *does* have a Patreon
After inquiries from others Walheim Fans, Itchy_Mycologist_848 started the Patreon page Trolaf_sketch, where they promise to share more updates on their progress (though they're not holding back from Reddit posts). The first of those articles, published in early December 2025, details a few pages devoted to the Meadows biome. It also includes a project status update, with the author stating that they had drawn the Swamp Biome and were in the process of sketching pictures for the Mountain Fauna at the time. Their Patreon page has half a dozen paying subscribers as of December 21st. In a separate update, the creator recently expressed appreciation for the community's support but said they currently have no plans to sell the book, which began as a personal project that has yet to be completed.
