Joel Miller
A second chance at parenthood
Joel Miller is the hero The last of usWith a supporting character in the sequel. The game begins roughly for Joel as he loses his daughter during an outbreak in Texas, before things move forward years later. In a post-apocalyptic society, Joel has become a hardened smuggler who does what he does to survive and doesn't care about anyone else in return.
He also stopped talking to his brother Tommy. However, what's great about Joel and his journey in the first game is Ellie, whom he slowly begins to see as not a package, but perhaps a daughter he can raise. In his own way, as dark as some of his actions are, Joel finds some redemption in himself.
Cloud Strife
Looking for a pre-military purpose
Cloud Strife is the hero Final Fantasy 7Which has an arc in the game, including amnesia, stolen identity syndrome, and even realizing he might be some kind of clone. What's even more interesting is analyzing how the remakes have treated Cloud. Thanks to voice acting and script changes, Cloud becomes more alive Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Final fantasy 7 rebirth.
in Final Fantasy 7 RemakeCloud starts out as a mercenary in it for money who couldn't care less about making friends within the anti-Shinra organization known as AVALANCHE. As soft-spoken as he is, people just come to him, and they trust Claude, he also starts to soften and sometimes even jokes when he has to get dressed. Seeing his development between the two remakes has been great so far, and hopefully, things will wrap up nicely in the final episode, giving Cloud a full circle journey.
Naked Snake/Bigg Boss
The man who united the world
Bigg Boss first appeared as a secret villain metal gearBut before he was a villain, he was a rogue named The Naked Snake Inn Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake EaterWhich was recently adapted with a remake Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. Snake is tasked with stopping a group of Soviet Union defectors, his former colleague, The Boss, from starting a nuclear war. On a mission, Snake only cares about one thing: success, and he can often come across as cold to his fellow teammates who check on him through comms channels.
8 Sports Characters Who Talk the Big Game, But Can't Back It Up
They may talk big and brag all day long, but these game characters make mistakes when it matters most.
He's far from perfect, but Snake is actually skilled enough to get the job done, and finally, he has a character turn when he realizes that The Boss has defected to save America, and not harm it. It's complicated, but it will change Snake forever as his codename becomes Big Boss after this event, where he learns that he has to be a good soldier for others out there. The original game and the remake showcase great versions of the character, along with the PSP sequel Metal Gear Solid: Shanti WalkerAll of which slowly lead to his more “villainous” mode. That said, anyone interested in their full prequel journey needs to check out Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops and Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, too
Leon S. Kennedy
Bingo time
Leon S. Kennedy first appeared as a rookie Resident Evil 2Who didn't have much of a personality other than being a duty-bound cop. His character was expanded on Resident Evil 4Where he now worked for the government and was tasked with saving the president's daughter, Ashley. In between games, Lyon learned to be sly, saying one-liners like he was in an '80s action movie.
He was ripped, skilled with knives and guns, and could answer any villain with words of revenge. He was the perfect action hero in a horror game, and his character sank Resident Evil 6He was redeemed within the last entry, Resident Evil requests. Leon isn't as complex a character as the others on the list, but he's cool, no doubt about it.
Kazuma Kiryu
Let his fists do the talking
Kazuma is the main protagonist of Kiryu Yakuza series, with Yakuza 0 A prequel that showcases his younger days. From this game to the sixth installment, and also with the eighth Like the Dragon: Eternal WealthKazuma doesn't change. That might sound like a bad character who doesn't have a proper arc, but it's because Kazuma grew up so well with his yakuza family that he starts at a hundred and currently rests at a thousand.
Kazuma is bound by his honor as a man, and when something goes wrong, he does whatever it takes to make things right. Most of the time, it involves his fists, but he never makes it mean. Also, if there's one thing that changes, it's how Kazuma ends up becoming a foster father at the orphanage he supports. He remains unsatisfied, but has a good heart and is willing to cry in front of others, as he is not afraid to show his emotions.
Geralt of Rivia
A practical monster hunter
Geralt is a bit different Witcher Books and games, but has to be his best entry into the gaming universe The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. As a Witcher, Geralt is essentially a mercenary who hunts monsters for people and coins. Because of the experiment, all kinds of emotions have basically been drained out of Geralt, but that doesn't mean he's completely carefree.
Game characters who are very much on their own
Video game characters are so self-absorbed and arrogant that they need a serious reality check before their egos appear from space.
He has a father/daughter relationship with his friends, several women he likes, and Siri, whom he seeks out in the game. Geralt doesn't have an arc in this story, as players will learn to like him as the game progresses. They will appreciate his gruff voice and the way he talks to NPCs. Geralt isn't so cool that he's seen it all and is tired.
Kratos
Reincarnated as father
Kratos originally started out as an angry Spartan betrayed by the gods god of war trilogy, but after killing hundreds of innocent people, demons and gods, he retired to a new world with new gods within the 2018 reboot. Unseen by the players, Kratos meets a new love, Laufey, and together they have a son, Atreus. After he passes out at the beginning of the game, Kratos must go on a journey and learn how to be a father without Laufey by his side.
He's not a perfect father, but he's trying harder with Atreus than he did with any character in the original trilogy. Kratos doesn't go through actual therapy, but it's clear that he's spent his time meditating as a villainous man for revenge. It was surprising to see this new version of him after so long, but the reboot handled it well.
Francis York Morgan
Pretty cool, right Zach?
Francis York Morgan is an FBI agent fatal premonition Joe goes to a small town, Greenvale, to investigate a murder. Although the game itself is notoriously divisive, thanks to subpar graphics, driving mechanics, and shooting, what stands out is the story, and Morgan is at the heart of it all. To call him weird is an understatement, because he often talks to someone who isn't there, Zach.
It doesn't matter if he's with people or driving alone, Morgan will talk about any topic, from coffee to his love of particular movies. There isn't a more charismatic and likable character in video games, and it has to say something that even in a divisive game, a bright character like this can make it worthwhile. As strange as he is, Morgan is also kind, loving, and good at his job, which makes him stand out as a character.
