WWE 2K26 Now it's here for all players, but those who pre-ordered last week have been kept busy. The past few weeks have been full of announcements and sneak peeks of what to expect WWE 2K26And many fans were eager to jump into the game a full week before the launch. Many early players have been enjoying the RXP farming exploit, but it looks like the fun is already over.
WWE 2K26Patch 1.04 made some changes to how players can obtain RXP, resulting in the popular exploit not returning completely. This franchise entry introduced a Battle Pass-like system called Ringside Pass. There's both a free Ringside Pass and then a premium version that includes features like DLC Superstars, Island Taunts, and Personas. Adding a Battle Pass in this day and age is going to be controversial anyway, and patch 1.04 has already ignited a lot of negative feedback regarding how the feature has been handled.
WWE 2K26 review: Not the best in the world
WWE 2K26 continues to build on its predecessor in many ways, but the yearly cadence seems to be taking its toll creatively.
WWE 2K26's RXP farming exploit was short-lived, and players aren't happy
Before the patch, players could tweak the game's sliders to strengthen submissions. After doing this, they will boot a 1v1 match WWE 2K26The lowest ranked fighter, Eric Bischoff. This results in players winning matches in seconds, allowing them to quickly move into the category of premium ringside passes. Well, it seems those days have come to a quick end, with a patch making this exploit no longer possible. What makes this change even more controversial, however, is that 2K Games made it clear that the patch was a direct response to this exploit. The official patch notes say:
If a match is completed faster than 60 seconds, players will receive completion RXP, but no additional win bonuses. We know you're having fun tapping out Eric Bischoff, but let poor “Eazy E” breathe.

This immediately upset many players on social media, with many sharing the sentiment that it didn't matter how they played the match if they had already paid for the premium ringside pass. There have also been complaints that 2K Games seems willing to quickly patch things that almost always get in the way of profits. Certain bugs and glitches can sometimes take months to finally be addressed, leading many fans to conclude that this must be linked to the patch. WWE 2K26of tier skips.
WWE 2K26's Tier Skips Explained
This is a very straightforward system, but for the uninitiated, WWE 2K26The Ringside Pass includes microtransactions to skip levels. In other words, it's something players can buy to advance faster without having to grind their way there. Tier skips are completely optional, but fans suspect that getting rid of the RXP farming exploit in patch 1.04 was intended to try to encourage players to purchase these tier skips.
Considering how heavily monetized sports games have become over the years, it's understandable why gamers have come to this conclusion. Like games NBA 2K26 have already used tier skips, so it's not too surprising that 2K Games has introduced this same method. WWE 2K26. Adjusting WWE 2K26Gameplay settings to help farm RXP faster are seen as really beneficial for many players. Many have cited that their own busy schedule in daily life makes it really difficult to keep up with the grind WWE 2K26of Ringside Pass demands. Tweaks patch 1.04 made in RXP reduced the number of matches required to complete a pass, but it is still a significant amount of work.
Patch 1.04 increases RXP rate by 20%. Before the patch, completing a match awarded 25 RXP, but it will now be 30 RXP. Winning a match rewards 85 RXP, but that has now been increased to 105 RXP.

WWE 2K26's RXP changes won't require fans to play multiple games, but it may not be entirely ready to eliminate farming exploits.
Games now offer higher amounts of RXP, but some players are still going to find it a grind, depending on how they prefer to play. WWE 2K26Rewards are one of the biggest incentives for players to keep coming back day after day, but being pushed through match after match to get content that someone has already paid for is an understandable cause for frustration. There is a bright side, though. opposite FortniteOf the Battle Pass, the Ringside Pass is not locked in a limited time frame. The official 2K site says,
When a new season of the Ringside Pass begins, the previous season will not expire, meaning players can still continue to unlock content before moving on to the next season, or players can put that season on hold, move on to another to unlock content there, and then return to the previous season.
While it can be annoying to grind through matches to unlock pre-paid content, there's at least the knowledge that it's not a race against the clock. One of the main reasons why some gamers think Battle Passes are bad is that many of them have limited time limits, which can be unfair to players who may not be able to unlock all rewards before the pass expires.
It's ultimately subjective, but the Ringside Pass doesn't have that problem at least. WWE 2K26The new update is disappointing for those who really benefited from farming exploits, but the extra RXP now offered in games makes the grind feel less burdensome.
