Xbox Game Pass update adds 2 more titles

Avatar: Pandora's Border Available now at Xbox Game Pass Ultimate And PC Game Pass. Its arrival coincides with the addition of 2025 RPG to the premium tier of Xbox Game Pass.

Developed by Ubisoft subsidiary Giant Entertainment, Avatar: Pandora's Border is the latest video game based on James Cameron's sci-fi franchise. It was released in February 2025 for PC and consoles, generating primarily positive press buzz, underlined by its “strong” rating on OpenCritic, with an average score of 80 and an 83% critic recommendation rate. Critics praised Avatar: Pandora's BorderWhile citing Pandora's authentic entertainment and compelling combat, repetitive side content and weak story as the game's main weaknesses.

Avatar: Pandora's Border PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate have joined Microsoft's subscription service for the first time today. The February 17 catalog update, which marks the end of this month's Wave 1 lineup, also expanded the Xbox Game Pass Premium library, which now includes Accepted. Obsidian Entertainment's fantasy RPG joins the mid-tier of the service just one day shy of its first anniversary. Like any other title developed by Microsoft Assistant, Accepted Xbox Game Pass has been part of the Ultimate catalog since day one. After today's update, it's available on every tier of service except essential.

Avatar: Pandora's Border and Accepted Officially round out the Xbox Game Pass Wave 1 lineup for February 2026. Based on Microsoft's announcement patterns, the Wave 2 roster could be officially confirmed later today, February 17, possibly around 9 a.m. ET. The lineup will include the 1.0 release TowerborneStoic Studios' side-scrolling ARPG is scheduled to exit Early Access on February 17th, which is also set to join Xbox Game Pass Premium. A game preview version of the colorful title is available from February 2025 for PC Game Pass and Ultimate-tier members.

Xbox Game Pass is set to lose five titles in February 2026, with the current month on track to deliver a substantial net profit for its content catalog. The service has added 14 titles since February 1, with the Wave 2 lineup yet to be revealed. That's already a big improvement over February 2025, which saw just eight new arrivals and twice as many departures.

Looking ahead, Planet of Lana 2, was replaced, Nova Roma, Forza Horizon 6and Animal of Reincarnation All are scheduled to join Xbox Game Pass between March and August 2026, having already received firm release dates. More than 20 other titles with tentative 2026 launch windows have previously been confirmed as day-one additions to Microsoft's on-demand games library. These include Tropico 7, Witchbrook, Wildekin, Super Meat Boy 3Dand Subnautica 2among others.
