Less than two weeks ago, Sucker Punch dropped the 1.000th update of the game, which, among other things, introduced Ghost of Yotei's new Game Plus mode, lets players continue their adventure with a level-up Atsu even after their story ends. While that update has expanded a lot Ghost of Yotei Experience, however, came with some annoying bugs, so a follow-up patch has now been added to the game that fixes four gameplay issues, including those seen in New Game Plus. A couple of these notes are generalized, stating that the post-launch development team has fixed some of the issues the game was experiencing related to both the new Game Plus vendor and some unusually occurring soft-locking issues.
Other notes are more specific. A strange bug that appeared in New Game Plus mode was related Ghost of Yoteis bamboo strike locations. There are 15 such locations located throughout the game world, where players can play a minigame that requires memorizing and repeating a series of button presses, resulting in Atsu increasing his total spirit. After the release of the 1.000 update, players noticed that the counter in these locations was displaying strangely negative numbers, but this issue has reportedly been fixed with the release of the new update.
A more serious issue was preventing some players from collecting the Platinum Armor die after earning the Platinum trophy. Ghost of Yotei, potentially locking them out of a desired cosmetic item. The team noted that this issue is rare, and seems to only affect players who have received trophies in multiple save files, but this has also been fixed. In addition to the gameplay issues, the new patch notes also mention that the latest update has fixed some common crashing issues that players are running into on rare occasions.
As Sucker Punch deals with the initial growing pains associated with the addition of New Game Plus, more content is planned for the game on the horizon. A Legends co-op mode is planned Ghost of Yotei In 2026, it was confirmed in a trailer for the game a month before its release.
