Jujutsu Kaisen: Modulo One of the most exciting sequel manga in recent history, and much of that has to do with Gege Akutami's incredible talent as a writer. Set 68 years after the original completion Jujutsu Kaisen story, JJK Modulo Focuses entirely on new characters and focuses on the conflict between humans and the alien race of Simuria. when JJK Modulo Beginning, fans were keenly interested to know what happened to their beloved characters from the original story.
While the vast majority of them weren't deeply involved in the plot, Yuji Itadori, the previous main character, certainly was. His fate has been debated for a long time, but now Gege Akutami has clarified that Yuji Itadori will have a cursed fate as the story progresses and that he will play a similar role as Tenzen from here on out.

Yuji Itadori gradually ages in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo
Yuji Itadori appears in the JJK module after the conflict between humans and Simurians officially begins. Japan sought to champion Yuji Itadori against Dabura Karaba, the strongest of the Simurians. Unfortunately for them, it never turned into anything, and Yuka Okkotsu had to fight against Dabura instead. However, Yuji Itadori later appeared when he was filled in by Aoi Todo. As the war between humans and Rumelians escalated, Yuji used the power of blood manipulation to end the war. But his real role came into play later when he completely banished the cursed spirits that were moving out of Tokyo. After Dabura's fight with Mahoraga, Yuji showed fans a glimpse of his incredible powers. Then, what happened next was even more important, as Yuji Itadori would witness Maru change the world forever.

Maru decided to completely erase the cursed souls from existence and bring the two races of Simurians and humans together forever. To see this treaty being made, Maru's Cursed Technique, Chaos and Harmony chose Yuji Itadori. As such, Yuji was officially introduced into the main storyline and given a very important role in this sequel series. In doing so, Gege Akutami also confirmed Yuji's fate to the fans. Although Nobara previously stated that Yuji had not reached Itadori's age, Yuji clarified that at this time he was more akin to a cursed spirit than a human, which is similar to Tenzen's condition after living for 500 years. Along with this, Yuji Itadori has also confirmed that he will live for about 300 years. While fans weren't given an exact lifespan, it's also clear that Yuji isn't immortal either. Yuji is likely to die sometime in the future.
Yuji Itadori may die in 300 years
As confirmed in JJK Modulo Chapter 22, Yuji Itadori will die in about 300 years or so. However, this is not good news for fans of the story. This is because Yuji's inability to die immediately prevents him from fulfilling the promise he made to his grandfather at the beginning of the main story. Yuji Itadori did not want to live long. In fact, he wants to die surrounded by the people he loves. What Wasuke Itadori asked Yuji to do when he died, and what Yuji himself intended to do in the story.
Unfortunately for him, he was a special vessel for Ryomen Tsukuna, born by Kenzaku, which gave him special properties. The fact that he ate Death Painting 4-9 only made things worse for him because, as things stand, Yuji is part human and part cursed spirit, and the latter is actually stronger, if anything. Yuji's body is aging ridiculously slowly, and it's almost as if he continues to be in his prime. Even though Yuji is close to 100 years old, he still looks like he is in his late 30s, and even more than that, he himself has confirmed that he will live to be 300 years old. This means that Yuji's dream of dying surrounded by those he loves is not going to come true, and it's truly a sad ending for this character.

The fact that Yuji is losing all his friends one by one makes it even sadder. It is highly implied that Megumi Fushiguro is already dead as are many such as Yuta Okkotsu and Maki Genin. The death of all these characters means that Yuji is slowly left alone and because of that, he has completely isolated himself from Japanese society. Nobara had not seen Yuji for years, and eventually, he too would die, while Yuji Itadori would live to bear the burden of the great changes he and Maru had brought about.

Yuji can become like Tenzen in the future
Looking at the way the story has taken, it can be seen that Yuji Itadori is becoming like Tenzen in every chapter. His body is already more cursed soul than human. Eventually, it will be completely dominated by the cursed soul part, and Yuji will be like Tengen. His physical appearance can also change, and this will support the events of the Calling Game arc where Yuji finally meets Tenzen. When Yuji comments on his strange appearance, Tenzen says that if he lives for 500 years, he will look something similar. This was a great foreshadowing by Gege Akutami, and now that Yuji is going to live another 300 years, his physical appearance is definitely changing.

The longer he lives, the weirder he becomes, and with it his overall powers. Yuji Itadori is about to become JJK's next TenzenAnd it is possible that after centuries he will die alone and finally rest. However, for now, Yuji Itadori is tasked with looking after the next generation and making sure Maru goes through with this massive change plan. Yuji himself stated that he wanted to suffer the punishment that would come with changing Japan by minimizing the production of cursed souls as much as possible, and that he would carry out this responsibility until the end.
As such, at the end of JJK, Yuji Itadori survives but is inevitably doomed to the unfortunate fate of staying alive and watching all his friends die one by one. That said, Yuji also resolves to raise the next generation in preparation for the dangers the cursed spirits will pose when he is finally gone. It's a perfect bittersweet ending for Gege Akutami's character, and fans couldn't have asked for anything better for this brilliant character.
