Yuji Itadori is now one of the most dynamic heroes in the shonen genre, not only because of his raw physical strength but also because of the way he comes to gain his power through blood, loss, and defiance. In most battles though Jujutsu Kaisen Over-the-top battles are insane, with Yuji having moments of glory that are pure rage, emotional stakes, and ever-higher displays of cursed energy that dazzle his opponents and onlookers.
The difference between Yuji and other shonen leads is that each battle is made personal. His wins aren't pure, and his losses have scars that never really heal. When Yuji goes all out, it's never about winning, it's always about saving someone, honoring someone, or putting an end to something that should never have happened. At the time of writing the article focuses on Yuji Itadori's strongest points in anime as of now.

In this fight, Yuji and Nobara become promising students and become real threats. Unlike Eso and Kechizu, they are already familiar with their cursed technique. The unique aspect of this battle is not survival, but Yuji and Nobara's trust in each other in the midst of unconditional danger. Nobara personally witnesses how well he can be trusted when there is no time to lose, and the battle quietly shows that Yuji is already on a higher plane of physical prowess than the other mages around him.
Yuji's strength and speed seemed amazing until now, but Esau wasn't nearly as capable of killing Yuji and Nobara as he was about to catch. Yuji picks up Nobara and runs faster than expected, impressing both Nobara and Aso. It's also cute to note that Yuji was always able to run this fast, but he just decided not to leave Nobara in the first place.

Red scale |
Yuji's encounter with Choso at the Shibuya incident seems unfair at first. Poor boy Yuji kept fighting all night. And facing an opponent like Choso who is more knowledgeable, precise and ruthlessly efficient with blood manipulation. On the other hand, Yuji is already injured, overtaxed and placed in a tight zone with no possible way to escape yet still manages to avoid a direct blood piercing move which shows how strong he is.
It is a proven fact by now that Yuji refuses to go down. He takes deadly hits and continues to move despite being hurt and even manages to fight off full-blooded attacks with just instinct and sheer strength. It's not the time that makes Yuji look invincible, it's the time that makes him look fiercely determined, refusing to keep getting back on his feet.

Black flash |
Landing the Black Flash once is extraordinary. The fact that Yuji does hanami so often seems unrealistic. What makes this moment so rewarding is the fact that it doesn't feel forced, rather, it looks like Yuji has finally coordinated his body, curse energy, and emotions to the point of perfection.
The landing of each black flash is heavy not only on the eyes but also on the story. It is at this point that one cannot deny the potential in UG. He's not just swinging hard anymore, he's hitting with frightening accuracy, showing glimpses of what he could one day become as he matures.

To you, someday |
Junpei's death breaks what is inside of Yuji and Mahito is the medium through which it all comes out. It's not a clean, controlled, or tactical fight, but the raw anger is delivered with fists and is one of the best anger moments in anime. Yuji doesn't hesitate to throw himself into fame, completely driven by grief and guilt, but at the same time, he's still composed. At this point most mages will lose control and charge indiscriminately. Mahito thought the same but Yuji proved him wrong.
What is so strong about this moment is its raw nature. Yuji is not relaxed or self-assured, he is angry, hopeless and wounded. And yet, such an emotional outburst makes him even more dangerous. This is the first time that Yuji's pain can really turn into full power.
Yuji Itadori and Aoi Todoko are perfectly synchronized in their fight against Mahito.

Yuji and Todo, fighting and working together is like two puzzle pieces falling into place. Todo's wildness hides his brilliant strategic mind, and Yuji gets along with him at first glance. Their coordination level becomes so effective that Mahito, a special grade curse, begins to lose control of the fight.
UG is flexible as can be. He is an ego-free listener, reactor, and has complete trust in Todo. Each strike is more powerful because they are part of something bigger. This is one of the best illustrations of the fact that Yuji is a stronger force when he finds someone who understands him completely.

Special grade curses are exceptionally powerful, and they can make short work of the best wizards.

Right and wrong, part 2 |
When Yuji meets Mahato again in Shibuya, he has lost too much to hesitate. Yuji is sure that Nobara's resolve is not irrelevant, and he forces himself to overcome his weakness and panic. His attacks are directed not only at Mahito's body, but also at his soul, something no mage other than Nobara has been able to do so far, yet, Yuji is the only one capable of meaningfully damaging him.
This scene seems like an emotional response. Yuji is no longer fighting out of anger, but out of faith. The reality behind every blow is the hope he has in his friends and Mahito won't let his mentor Nanami live through what he did. It's harsh, direct, and very satisfying to enjoy.

Metamorphosis |
Yugi's most OP moment Jujutsu Kaisen Not the Black Flash or her cursed energy yet, but her face. Yuji does not rejoice or celebrate after beating Mahito, but instead agrees with his earlier statement: “You and I, we are one,” telling Mahito that no matter when and where he is reincarnated, Yuji will always kill him. He is walking with empty eyes, determined to kill him. No hesitation. No mercy. Just solve it.
This view turns the tables on the power balance. Mahito, which used to be sport and ruthless, has now turned into hunting. Yuji turns into what Mahito fears: a man who knows him and decides to kill him. This is the coldest, strongest version of Yugi we've ever seen in anime and nothing can compare.
