Pokemon Legends: ZAThe Mega Dimension DLC came out less than two weeks ago, and it opened the door to more replayability in the game than the base game offered, introducing some incredible new Mega Evolutions and plenty of returning critters. One could argue that the game and its expansions are disappointing because there are no completely new Pokemon or regional forms, but Pokemon Legends: ZAThe DLC Returning Pokémon includes several critters from underrepresented regions such as Alola, Galar, and Paldea. On top of that, there are 19 new Mega Evolutions that are arguably better than the ones in the base game. However, a secret can easily go unnoticed.
The concept of Mega Evolution makes a lot of sense inside Pokemon The universe, as it gives the critters, finds a new temporary power that is not permanent development as usual. This translates into gaining 100 more stat points to improve the Pokemon's BST, and can even occur on fully evolved critters, breaking the normal 3-step rule. In Mega Evolution Pokemon Legends: ZA Can be very powerful and put those extra stat points to great use. As such, you should not miss out Pokemon Legends: ZAof “Mega Dondojo” along with the new Mega Tatsugiri.
Want to catch them all? This is how you find all legendary and legendary Pokemon in Legends: ZA
Pokemon Legends: ZA's Mega Dimension DLC brings back many legendary and legendary Pokemon, and here's how to catch them all.
Say hello to the 20th DLC Mega Evolution in Pokemon Legends: ZA
While there is no actual Mega Dondojo in the game, it might surprise you to know Pokemon Legends: ZA Abilities aside, Dondozo actually has Commander as a hidden attribute, and it functions the same as in the Gen 9 games. To activate “Mega Dondojo”. PLZAYou should:
-
Choose Tatsugiri in battle, even if it doesn't use any moves.
-
Switch to Donjo, activate Commander:
-
Tatsugiri reaches into Dondojo's mouth, preventing Dondojo from exiting.
-
Dondozo gets a stat boost to all stats, which is currently the only guaranteed way to achieve this in the game, becoming incredibly powerful.
-
This can be achieved in Pokemon Legends: ZAThe battles online, are also rated.
-
How the Dondozo and Tatsugiri combo compares between PLZA and Gen 9
Increases stats on Pokemon Legends: ZA Work differently than other mainline games, where they can go all the way from +1 to +6 and down to -6. Furthermore, one can technically get multiple stat boost steps in a single swing, such as Swords Dance granting +2 to attack, for example.
Pokemon Scarlet and PurpleThe Dondozo and Tatsugiri combo works similarly, as players must take out Tatsugiri in a double battle, then switch Pokémon to Dondozo's side to activate Commander. However, the main differences are as follows:
-
You can activate Donjojo's Commander ability Pokemon Scarlet and Purple If you have Dondojo out and Tatsugiri switch next to it. in PLZAYou can only activate Commander by switching Tatsugiri for Dondozo.
-
Donjo's Commander ability gives a +2 stat boost to each stat instead of a one-time stat boost for all stats.
In Pokemon Legends: ZA a Pokemon's stats can only be positive or negative, but one can change a Pokemon's stats to a red item or a blue item in ranked battles, the former boosting attack power and the latter reducing damage taken.
Why Pokemon Legends: ZA's Dondojo is OP, and how to get it
Pokemon Legends: ZAThe best teams usually use hyper-aggressive attackers and defensive Pokemon to switch or lead. A common strategy is to use a “screen setter” that can use both Reflect and Light Screen, making yourself and all Pokemon on the team immune to physical and special attacks respectively.
The point is, a screen setter can be used on a team with Tatsugiri and Dondozo, then switch to Tatsugiri after using Reflect and Light Screen, and finally take less damage overall on Dondozo to omni-boost stats. This is a very powerful combo, and while it requires a lot of setup, it can be used to attack before swapping out both the Screen Setter and Tatsugiri, getting more value from them and accumulating Mega Energy for Dondozo.
Why Mega Energy Matters to Dondozo in Pokemon Legends: ZA
Dondozo does not have Mega Evolution, but it can use Plus Moves in Pokemon Legends: ZA. This, combined with the boost of attack and max attack IVs and EVs can be very deadly.
If you're wondering how to get Dondojo, you should find at least a 3-star zone with a water-type focus in the Hyperspace Wild Zone. Dondojo replaces Tatsugiri in the Tatsugiri Army.
