Well, the male protagonist finds himself cast as Ruphas, a powerful female boss of an MMO. The catch? The world he finds himself in is hardly exactly like the game, and centuries have passed. If done well, this should have good world-building and political tension.
• The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess – If you prefer a story that does not quite lean into OP territory as much, this shojo anime will likely be a better pick, and it has a few fresh ideas that set it apart from the crowd. For one, the protagonist is sent into the world of a story she wrote when she was young, and she is cast as the heroine’s evil sister. Secondly, and more importantly, she is reincarnated at a point in time when the villainess has already crossed the line, so the MC has to work extra hard to set things right.
