PARIS: Algerian boxer Imane Khelief won gold at the Paris Olympics on Friday, emerging as champion from a tumultuous run at the Games where she endured intense scrutiny in the ring and online abuse from around the world over misconceptions about her femininity. In the final of the women's welterweight division, Khalif completed the best fight streak of her boxing career with a 5:0 win over China's Yang Liu at Roland Garros.
