There are four main missions The outside world 2 Which are categorized as collection quests, one in each area. One in Paradise asks players to collect science magazines, one in Golden Ridge asks players to recover graffiti, and one in Prater asks players to recalibrate lightning towers. The Cloister Collection quest tasks players with recovering Sojourner's Logs from Excogitation Chapels located throughout the region.

How to start the Cloister Collection quest
Where to start 'Division Under Dress' in The Outer Worlds 2
To start the Division Under Dress mission and start collecting the Excocitation Logs in the Cloister, head to Laplace Gardens, the Order of the Ascendant stronghold, just down the main path from the Cloister Landing Pad.
Once inside, look for a bald man meditating on the left side of the stream that flows through this area. This is the Oracle Award Lesley Beckett. Talk to Beckett, and he'll ask you if you've ever found an Exorcitation Log or Exorcitation Chapel in your explorations of the cloister – setting you on a diversion on a pressing mission.
You can also start this mission by finding the Excogitation Chapel in the Cloister and picking up the Sovereign Log inside. Eventually, you have to return to Laureate Beckett to get the mission reward, but you don't have to need Talk to him to start the quest.

You'll also earn the Cloister Excogitation Logs CEL-ebration achievement after completing the 'Deviations Under Duress' mission.

Outer Worlds 2 Cloister Log Location 1: East of Winter's Grip
- Location notes: To get to the top of the cliff, look for a set of ropes leading up the cliff edge just below this location, then carefully double-jump the nearby ice ledges to reach the top.
Outer Worlds 2 Cloister Chapel Location 2: Northeast of The Archive
- Location notes: Go northeast from The Archive and Newton, and through the Scrapper Camp to find this chapel. To enter the chapel and get this Sojourner's Log you must kill a scrapper named Buckshot Bill.
Outer Worlds 2 Cloister Log Location 3: Near the Far North Bridge
- Location notes: Go directly northwest from the previous Excision Chapel location and look for this chapel on top of the cliff north of the bridge. There are several ways to get in using a variety of skills – the easiest is to simply use the Engineering or Brownie specialty to open the front door.
Outer Worlds 2 Cloister Chapel Location 4: Underlands, via The Archive
- Location notes: After you gain access to The Archive, you will eventually reach an area beneath the cloister called The Underlands. Eventually, you'll access an elevator that takes you back to the surface – one of these elevators leads to the chapel at the top of the hill at the location marked on the map above.
