Texas AG Announces Roblox Child Safety Case

Roblox rejects Texas AG's allegations as 'sensational'
In a statement to the BBC, Roblox Corporation said it was “disappointed” by the lawsuit, arguing that the complaint was driven by “misrepresentations and sensational claims.” The spokesperson of the company also said Roblox Shares Paxton's concerns and remains committed to continued investment in child safety across its platform. The language of the statement reflects how well Roblox Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill responded to a similar lawsuit filed in August.
Like Louisiana, Kentucky and Florida, Texas frames its case as a consumer-protection issue, alleging Roblox Promotes its safety in communication with parents. The company counters that its child safety practices are constantly evolving. In recent months, Roblox has disabled all rated experiences on its platform and launched an initiative to standardize age ratings across its ecosystem.
