Pokemon Legends: ZA players have uncovered a shiny new hunting exploit that allows you to potentially spawn up to six alphas at once.

As explained by YouTuber Austin John Plays, the technique was first discovered by Discord user EagleBMW and shared with the community on Reddit by u/TimoVM.

While it's a little complicated, it's surprisingly easy to pull off. However, it is worth noting that shiny spans are not guaranteed even with this exploit – it makes them very efficient.

How to turn off alpha glare exploitation

Five Shiny Alpha Pokemon in Wild Zone 20 in Legends ZA.

That said, if you want to give it a try, here's a step-by-step breakdown of how:

  • Bring the two Alpha Pokemon to the entrance from the middle of Wild Zone 20.

  • Go through the gate, save the game, and restart.

  • Re-enter and lure the same two Alpha Pokemon as close to the gate as you can.

  • Exit the jungle area again, save the game, and restart.

  • Walk about 60 meters away from the gate, save the game, and restart.

  • Re-enter the Wild Zone, return to the tower, and you'll find two more Alpha 'Mons. Hide all four at the gate, pass, save the game, and restart.

  • Go back to the Wild Zone and lure all four 'mons as close to the gate as possible, pass, save the game, and restart.

  • Run about 60 meters away from the gate, save, and restart.

  • Re-enter the gate, return to the tower, and catch the attention of the two newly spawned Pokemon; Hide them at the gate, pass, save, and restart.

  • Return to Wild Zone 20, get all six Pokemon near the gate, save and restart.

  • Go through the gate and have all six Alpha Pokemon knock you out.

  • From the Pokemon Center, re-enter the gate, and you'll see six Alpha 'mon under the tower.

  • Reroll over and over again until you're shiny by resting on a bench, running back and forth, or fast-traveling through wild zone 20.

If you decide to try this exploit, don't worry about leaving Wild Area 20 to explore Lumiose; As long as you don't KO any of the 'mons, six alphas will always spawn under the tower, allowing you to re-roll them for a higher chance of getting a shiny.

Just make sure that, while running through these steps, you don't pass, or you'll have to start over. Being down is fine, because you can reload to your most recent save and continue from the step you were on.
