something ARC Raiders Players are calling on Embark to address issues with small lips and ledges being unclimbable when in the Down But Not Out (DBNO) state, after a clip of players struggling to get out while downed on rider hatches went viral. as it stands, ARC Raiders Technically allows players to eject while they are in the DBNO state, but many players find this easier said than done.
As a PvPvE extraction shooter, a core part of ARC Raiders' Gameplay is extracting without getting killed to hang onto any loot found during the game. DBNO gives the state ARC Raiders A small buffer after players lose their health before being officially considered dead and losing their inventory. During this time, players can try to crawl to the evacuation point and successfully escape with their loot, but their movement is slow, and their health bar will steadily decrease, at which point they will officially die.
Reddit user Nevborn980 posted a clip of his character trying to use Rider Hatch ARC Raiders subreddit, which gained a lot of attention as other players began to chime in with their own similar experiences. One commenter commented that “it's not just the hatches, there's a lot of terrain that is easily walkable but for some reason you just slide or walk in place,” while another shared the same sentiment, saying, “This game has a slippery surface problem.”
Raider hatches are intended to be a means for players to quickly escape to the safety of Speranza when things get out of hand at the top end, if they have the Raider Hatch Key on hand. Being in a DBNO state seems like the best chance to use one of these hatches, a player can reach before their draining health bar expires. Unfortunately, it seems that these hatches are more difficult to use when lowered than they normally would be, somewhat defeating their purpose.
This game has a slippery surface problem.
However ARC Raiders While patch 1.2.0 increased the range in which players can interact with them, it seems that the issue has not been completely resolved. As another Redditor, user Druidik, details in a separate post, it's possible to access Raider Hatches while downed, and the update makes it easier to do so. However, players still have to hit the right angle to reach the edge of the hatch.
This seems like a step in the right direction, but it's ultimately still too punishing for downed attackers when the Raider Hatch mechanic seems designed to be used in this type of situation. Hopefully, the “slippery surface” problem continues to be addressed ARC Raiders Get more updates.
