In fact, it can be said that the concept of badass ninjas is one of the most exciting aspects of the series, because they make for very exciting villains. When it comes to the strongest of rogue ninjas, it's no surprise to fans to learn that most of them hail from Konoha.
In fact, Konoha has featured some of the strongest shinobi ever since the concept of shinobi villages came into existence. Naturally, they will also have the strongest missing ninjas, and over the years, Kishimoto has portrayed many of them in great fashion.
Mizuki
When it comes to badass ninjas, Mizuki is definitely the weakest from Konoha. Technically, Mizuki is just a non-canon rogue ninja. In the anime, he becomes more focused after a fight with her Naruto. He turns into a badass ninja and his life is turned upside down because of these events. He's not particularly good at anything, and even though he's endowed with extraterrestrial powers, Mizuki is doomed to a miserable fate.
Orochimaru
Orochimaru One of the most brutal badass ninjas fans have ever seen Naruto series. At one point, he was a loyal ninja of Konoha, however, his curiosity got the better of him and eventually, he conducted live experiments on humans.
When Hiruzen fails to punish him for his actions, he flees the village and later becomes a rogue ninja. He plays the primary antagonist for a significant portion of the series, and by the end, he was a very important character.
Kabuto Yakushi
Kabuto Yakushi Was also once a member of Konoha. He was taken in by an orphanage in Konoha and then taken to the ANBU, where he went on several missions for the village. Eventually, he joined forces with Orochimaru, who somehow manipulated him as well.
He then became a loyal follower of Orochimaru, following him to the Hidden Sound Village. After Orochimaru's death, He became one of the primary antagonists of the series, absorbing every power he could find. It took two powerful Uchihas in Itachi and Sasuke to match him.
Itachi Uchiha
Itachi Uchiha is one of the most powerful ninja in Konoha. He was a prodigy of the Uchiha clan. However, after the Uchiha massacre, he was forced to live in exile. Of course, it was on Danzo's orders. However, Itachi also had to pay the price for what he had done. He infiltrated the Akatsuki for Konoha, and stopped them from attacking the Hidden Leaf Village.
Technically, Itachi was still a good boy, however, he had to put up a face for his village, and more importantly, for his brother.
Obito Uchiha
Obito Uchiha was a brilliant shinobi and definitely a force to be reckoned with in the Naruto series. Although Obito once aspired to become Hokage, the cruel twist of fate he was dealt during the Third Great Ninja War saw him follow in Madara's footsteps. He was manipulated in a way where he decided that the way forward was to embrace the eye of the moon and that is exactly what he did.
Obito became a missing-nin and led the Akatsuki from within the shadows. He was primarily responsible for the Fourth Great Ninja War and countless people died because of him.
Madara Uchiha
When the force comes, Madara Uchiha is definitely one of the strongest of the rogue ninja. Technically, Madara was responsible for creating Konoha along with Hashirama.
However, after realizing that Tobirama's influence would cause him trouble, Madara lost faith in Hashirama and decided to leave the village for good. Madara became a lost ninja and even attacked Konoha in an attempt to destroy it. This led to a battle between Hashirama and Madara in the Valley of the End, which the former won. However, Madara's plans didn't stop there and he showed fans why he was the greatest villain of the entire series.
Sasuke Uchiha
When it comes to the strongest of rogue ninjas, Sasuke is definitely at the top of the list. Sasuke is one of the strongest characters alive in the Naruto world. He left Konoha after a fight with Itachi in search of more power. He then went on to train with Orochimaru. At this point, he had committed no crime.
However, the more powers Sasuke gained, the more he fell into darkness. Eventually, after the events of the Cage Summit, he was labeled a criminal and a rogue ninja. Sasuke helped defeat the Akatsuki In a ninja war, and forgiven for what he did to save the world.
