September 2025 was an important one for Nintendo Direct Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. Not only was the game's release date finally announced after eight years, but fans also got a glimpse of Samus riding around on a motorcycle, later called Vi-O-La.

How to get motorcycles in Metroid Prime 4: Beyond
Players will find Vi-O-La upon arriving at the Vault Forge area while searching for the second teleporter key. However, before they can actually use it, they will need to first Restore power to Tower 1 By riding the elevators to the bottom of the tower and activating the lightning rod. Once they do that, they can make their way to the motorcycle and accompanying area Interact with the Vi-O-La Suit Printer. Doing so will unlock the Vi-O-La suit, after which, players will be able to Activate the motorcycle by pressing the A button.
All Vi-O-La Controls (How to get out of a motorcycle in Metroid Prime 4)
Controlling Samus' motorcycle is relatively straightforward. Players can press the R or ZR button to accelerate and the L or ZL button to brake. Players have to press the + button to get off the bikewhich can also be used to summon Vi-O-La in areas where it is rideable. A little later in the game, players will unlock the ability to accelerate and fire projectiles, which can be done by pressing the B and A buttons respectively. It is possible to scan items while riding a motorcycle, but only when the Psychic Visor is equipped.
