Players will have until January 3, 2026 to complete Yeti Hunt.
So start hunting
So much for starting the hunt GTA OnlineYou should go to Blaine County. To trigger the Yeti Hunt you need to drive north between Fort Zancudo and Paleto Bay. Once you reach the area, you'll receive a lesson from Tanner, and there will now be a wider range for you to investigate within the Chiliad Desert. The objective here is to go within the radius of the circle marked with a question mark and find 5 hidden clues to find it.
Clue locations
To find it so, you will need Find 5 separate clues Around Mount Chiliad. We've pinpointed the exact locations of Yeti Cluj on the map image above, but if you need more help, we'll display the deeper dive locations below.
You'll know you're in the vicinity of a clue when you hear a heartbeat and tense music playing. Once you've found a clue, you can press right on the D-pad to search for a clue, which rewards you with $10,000 for each clue.

So Clue #1 Location – Deer carcass
A deer carcass is the clue that can be found directly west of the center of the circle radius. You'll want to follow the river bank, and a mutilated deer carcass can be found against some rocks, along with footprints heading north.
Yeti Clue #2 Location – Body Parts
The body parts can be found by following the dirt path in the middle of this clue radius west, until you find a split tree rock. Body parts can be found next to this destroyed tree, giving you yet another clue.
So Clue #3 Location – Bloody Shirt
The bloody shirt yeti clue can be found directly north of the center circle radius, and you'll have to go down a dirt path to a ditch, where you'll find a scrapped car and a white t-shirt covered in blood.
So Clue #4 Location – Wrecked Car
A wrecked car can be found directly east of the center of the Yeti Clue Circle radius. You'll need to hop down the abandoned bridge, where you'll find a rusted car by a tree that can now be researched.
Yeti Clue #5 Location – Tent
The Tent Yeti clue can be found on the northwest dirt road within the Chiliad Mountains. You're outside with a red sleeping bag looking for a bloody blue tent next to some bare trees.
Defeat the Yeti
Once all 5 clues are investigated, Yeti will appear and try to kill you. Yeti will only spawn in Chiliad Himalayas from 9pm to 6am (in-game time). The Yeti's location can be found by looking at the red skull on the minimap, but it's impossible to miss him, as he can run towards you at incredible speed.
You'll need to use hard-hitting weapons like explosives or miniguns to kill the Yeti quickly, as he won't go down after a few bad shots. If the Yeti grabs you, he will knock you down repeatedly and kill you in a few hits. If you die to a Yeti, then you can respawn and wait another 24 in-game hours for the Yeti to reappear.
After you successfully kill a Yeti, you will be rewarded with an additional $50,000 along with a Yeti outfit. Which you can carry in any wardrobe, and it is selected in the Outfits: Festive section.
