For generations, fans of all ages have been dazzled by a world of wonder Pokemon. Since the franchise's debut in the late nineties, Pokemon media is no longer limited to the mainline games. There are now spin-off games, manga volumes, and long-running anime that remain childhood favorites for many anime fans around the world.
One of the oldest and most popular Pokémon in media is Charizard, the Flame Pokémon. This dragon-like Pokémon, although it is rare, still appears in the anime with very powerful trainers. However, there are some trainers that have become particularly legendary thanks to their work with their Fire/Flying-type Pokémon companions.

Corey DeMario, “These Darn Electabuzz!” Day, a character who appears in, meets Casey, a Pokémon trainer, during her adventures. Pokemon historyA series of episodes depicting various side stories. Casey is shown to be a big fan of Corey, thanks to his past as a star player for the Electabuzz baseball team. However, after a shoulder injury, Corey left the game. It is later revealed that Corey's shoulder is on the mend, but he is afraid to continue his career.
Cory's brother, Benny, is trying to take care of a Charizard named Don, who was once Cory's own. However, like his former trainer, Dawn lacks confidence, and is nervous to even fly or use fire-type moves. Thankfully for the two of them, Casey works hard to act as a cheerleader for both of them so they can achieve their dreams. Finally, Corey returns to his career as a baseball player, and Don is shown soaring high in the sky above him as he regains his star status.

This unique trainer “controls” your Pokemon's moves
Ash's adventures in the Hoenn region and beyond introduce him to many new Pokémon friends, including Grovyle, Swallow, and Torcol. As his team grows stronger, Ash soon becomes a contender in the Ever Grande Conference. There, he meets several powerful opponents, including Pokémon Trainer Clark. “The Conductor”, as Clark was called, used the wand to “conduct” his Pokémon's moves, most of which were Fire-type moves.
In addition to his Quilava, Clark also had a Charizard on his roster. The two Fire-type Pokemon were used in a double battle against Ash's Grovile and Glali, causing serious damage to both Pokemon. Although Quilava was defeated by Grovile, the Grass-type was defeated by Clark's Charizard, thanks to its Fire-type and Flying-type moves. However, the Flame Pokémon was later defeated by Glali as it used its Ice-type moves to confuse Charizard.
Trevor is a photographer as well as a trainer

in Pokemon X and Pokemon YThe player character, along with his rival, set off on a journey with three other new trainers. One of these new trainers is Trevor, a boy from the town of Lumios. Like gym leader Viola, Trevor is a photographer as well as a trainer. Besides taking great photos, Trevor is also obsessed with filling his Pokédex as quickly as possible. Thus, he travels to meet as many new Pokemon as possible.
In the anime, Trevor receives Charmander as his partner Pokemon from Professor Sycamore. After Charmander evolved into Charmeleon, it became more energetic to the point of being aggressive. Thankfully, by the point it's evolved into Charizard, it's lost its aggressive streak but retains its fierce fighting spirit. Later in the series, Trevor obtained a Key Stone and Charizardite Y, which allowed his partner Pokémon to Mega Evolve into Mega Charizardite Y.

Hidden in the Zoto region is the Charizard Valley, a legendary canyon where many Charizards live. Some Charizards stay in the valley to grow stronger, while others stay there for life to protect it. A permanent resident of Charismatic Valley is Charla, a female Charizard who works alongside her trainer Liza. A tough and ambitious trainer, Liza firmly believes that the key to helping a Pokémon become more powerful is mutual respect between it and its trainer.
In addition to training Charla and several other Charizards, Liza later became Ash's temporary trainer for Charizard. Charizard, both he and Ash, seeing that he was a bit weaker than the Charizard in the valley, decided to stay there for a while to get stronger. During his stay with Liza, Charizard learned how to use many moves, and gained better control over his Fire-type abilities. Charizard never forgets his time with Liza and Charla, and they become loyal friends to both of them.

In the Generation VII games, Kiawe is the captain of the Trials at Vela Volcanic Park on Akala Island. As one might expect from his testing location, Kiawe specializes in Fire-type Pokemon. However, in Pokemon anime, Kiawe is instead a student at the Pokemon School on Melamele Island, which Ash attends during his stay in the Alola region. Like his game and manga counterparts, Kiawe still specializes in Fire-type Pokémon.
Kiawe's partners throughout Pokémon media are Turtonator and Marowak. However, he is also shown his own Charizard, given to him as a gift by his grandfather. This laid-back Charizard is often shown as an easy-going Pokémon, and it helps Kiawe and her family with deliveries. However, it is also a very powerful Pokemon, capable of using intense Z-moves such as Inferno Overdrive.

Alain is rarely seen without Mega Charizard X
Alain appeared for the first time Pokemon Anime through Mega Evolution Special, side stories related to the main story Pokemon The Series: XY. All Pokémon in the Galar region are, in specific locations, capable of Dynamaxing, during which they increase in size and strength. However, a select few are born with the Gigantamax Factor, which gives them a unique design and special moves. Leon's Charizard is just one of these lucky few Pokemon, which gains wings made of fire when it evolves. It was also Ash and Pikachu's final opponent in the Masters Eight Tournament, although it was defeated by the Mouse Pokémon after an incredibly fierce battle.

After waking up in the real world for the first time, Mewtwo is disgusted to learn how its creators view it as a tool. Thus, the Psychic-type sets out on a path to destroy humanity, and any Pokemon that dares to help them. In Mewtwo's mind, it is only worthy of the title of a Pokémon Master.
After capturing several Pokémon, including Ash's Charizard, Mewtwo uses its technology to create several clones. These Pokemon, including the clone Charizard, prove to be particularly powerful Pokemon. It is only thanks to Ash's sudden intervention that Mewtwo finally stops the brutal fight and reflects on its actions. The last time viewers see Mewtwo and its clone Pokémon is when they take to the skies.
