Of course, there are going to be two big games of 2026 Grand Theft Auto 6 and fable reboot, both are expected to be released by the end of the year. As someone who hasn't played a game in any of these series going into 2026, it's been hard for me to hype up their new entries. While I can probably go in Grand Theft Auto 6 or fable Without having played any of the prior entries, I thought this was my best chance to experience two classic franchises that had largely been a blind spot for me and my gaming career.
I grew up primarily as a Nintendo kid, with the Gamecube, Wii, Game Boy Advance, and Nintendo DS as the main consoles I played on. I also had access to a family PC, but it was mainly used for games Tony Hawk's Pro Skater and, finally, Minecraft and Team Fortress 2. Without access to an Xbox or PlayStation, my childhood didn't include anything old fable and GTA Games, so I didn't develop an attachment to the two series like others.
With GTA 6 and Fable releasing in 2026, it's finally time for me to try out the two series.
Marathon games aren't something I do often; I usually need some kind of palate cleanser between games in the same series. However, given the legendary status Grand Theft Auto The series and the hype behind it GTA 6I'm ready to try a marathon of the series, and hopefully I won't end up burnt out before I finish them. There's also the issue of the other 2026 releases I'm excited about in the interim that I'll have to make time for as well, and I already know I'll likely sneak into the next one. Marathon When Bungie releases a new game, like I did ARC Raiders In the last few months.
I've started marathoning the Grand Theft Auto series even before GTA 6
Going into 2026, I made it my New Year's resolution to play it all Grand Theft Auto before the game GTA 6 releases. guessing GTA 6 Not delayed again and still on track for a November release, this should give me plenty of time to finish games as long as I stay on pace for about 1 game a month. GTA 5 That might be a bit more of an investment considering how much content is available for the game, so it might take me more than a month in that case.
My plan to beat all GTA games before GTA 6
- GTA 3, GTA: Vice City, GTA: San Andreas through Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition – 60 hours
- GTA 4 and Episodes from Liberty City – 45 hours
- GTA 5 – 32 hours
- GTA 1 and GTA 2 – 26 hours
- Total – 163 hours
I'm starting mine GTA Travel with the trio GTA 3, the suburbsand San Andreas That I'm playing through Fixed version. I know this collection received some criticism for its poor performance at release, but so far, after a series of updates it seems to be doing well in 2026. Next, I plan to solve it GTA 4 With Episodes from Liberty City DLC packs, and then follow that GTA 5. Finally, there are the original two GTA games, which are considered the black sheep of the series, so I plan to try them both, but I'm not sure if I'll finish them both because they don't seem to be important to experiencing the full series.
A has been rumored GTA 4 A remake is coming out, so I'm holding off on starting GTA 4 For a while to see if this release will be successful.
So far, I have completed GTA 3
I can already check Grand Theft Auto 3 Out of my inventory, I just lost the game. Overall, I think the game won't hold up well in 2026, with some extreme controls and minimal character development without the silent protagonist Cloud's voice. However, I loved the humor and world building found throughout the game, especially through GTA 3of radio stations, so I'm curious to see how the series has evolved since this entry.
Marathon the Fable games should be easier than GTA
As compared to larger series Grand Theft AutoMarathoning fable Should be very easy. A balance GTA With the game a month, more or less fable The series should not be too difficult as there are only 3 main ones fable Game, while GTA 7, excluding spin-offs. fable The re-release also packs a lot of content from the series, eg Imaginary anniversary The included version The missing chapters Content, making my marathon of the franchise very straightforward.
How long does it take to complete all the fable games
Total time to complete each fable Only a fraction of the time needed to beat the game GTA series. So thankfully, it shouldn't be too much of an investment to marathon two franchises simultaneously. With the gameplay of fable Being an action RPG in comparison GTAAction-adventure crime simulator gameplay, fable A more streamlined experience is likely if I stick to the main quest, while given play time GTA The game can be extended if I struggle to complete certain missions (which I already have).
2026 is going to be a battle between two very different series for me
My 2026 is shaping up to be a tale of two franchises as I try to beat all the bosses GTA and fable Games for the first time before the release of the two series' new entries. There isn't a ton of crossover in between Grand Theft Auto and fable From a gameplay perspective, so hopefully I can enjoy the differences as I make my way through these series. One major similarity these franchises share is their distinct sense of humor, which I'm totally looking forward to as I begin my 2026. GTA and fable Marathon.
