If you're a Nioh veteran, you're very familiar with Nurikabe, who has appeared in every game in the series so far and makes his grand return. Neoh 3.
While Nioh 3 is clearly trying to bring in a new crowd with its mainstream open areas, I wouldn't blame anyone for not knowing how these strange living walls work and behave.
What is Nurikabe and what do they do?
Nurikabe are a special type of yokai that are living walls that disguise themselves and hide around the world. You'll be able to spot them if you look hard enough, eg The wall color is minimal, and it will play some moving eyes When you approach Nurikabe and look directly at it.
Nurikabe is also marked on the map, therefore Reaching a certain exploration level will allow you to see anything you've missed.
In addition to being marked as a collectible in Nioh 3, Nurikabe is Usually guarding some sort of secret, such as a hot spring or treasure chest. It makes sense to find and unlock them, but attacking them and going into battle isn't the best way to do it.
How to deal peacefully with Nurikabe
while you can Just hit Nurikabe and then get into a quick (but difficult) fight, Nioh veterans know that there's a secret method to clearing them out without actually fighting. Nurikabe can essentially defeat them emotionally peacefully, which is done by pressing R1+ options on PS5 or G with the keyboard..
There is a bit of a random element, though, in each form Nurikabe wants to see a specific type of emote color, be it yellow, red, or blue.. you will find Two chances to guess which emote type There's no real way to know which ones to use against Nurikabe before it attacks you, and which one you need. If you get it wrong, its eyes will turn red, and if you get it right, it will disappear.
Even if it's random, you've got a 1/3 chance to get it right, and it potentially eliminates the need to fight Nurikabe. If you do Fight the wall, then just keep in mind That it is a stationary target, so be mobile and avoid its movements before countering The best way to go.
Defeating Nurikabe in battle will give you the Nurikabe Piecewhich are used when forging objects.
Step 3: How to unlock the second air weapon
If you want more melee options in Nioh 3, you'll have to work for them.
