PlayStation's February 2026 Status of Play broke viewership records
As seen by Push Square, the latest State of Play is PlayStation's most watched, with over 3.2 million views in its main livestream. This doesn't take into account any co-streams, which are usually in alternate languages, but the main YouTube livestream now has over 200,000 views more than the previous record holder, which was Playstat as of June 2025. While this is an impressive record for PlayStation, the company's State of Play events still haven't managed to overtake the popularity of PlayStation Showcases. Like Play events, Showcases usually have a lot of big reveals and announcements, so the biggest one has around 5 million views.
