The trailer boasts “actually captured gameplay footage” and even at this stage, it looks incredibly impressive. It's not clear exactly how many players the mod will support, but the trailer shows five players on a single server, which would be a huge technical feat.

Implementing multiplayer in games designed specifically for single-player is no small feat. Adding a network architecture is quite difficult, and getting it to be reasonably stable is another matter entirely. That said, many attempts have been made in other sports, e.g SkyrimSkyrim Together, which is the most high-profile multiplayer mode out there. After years of development, Skyrim Together is a major success story for this type of mod, and proof that they are not all doomed to failure. Given this team's history with WukongMP, there's plenty of reason to be optimistic about Oblivion multiplayer.
Almost a year after its release, Bethesda confirmed Oblivion Remastered Modding is not officially supported. It's a funny statement in hindsight, as players immediately got to work creating more mods for the game.
