Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered Update Adds New Trophies, Still Missing Platinum

Longtime gamers know how amazing the original Tomb Raider trilogy was on the original PlayStation, which made it especially awesome when Aspyr announced a remaster of the iconic games in 2024 and then brought them to modern platforms with a modern sensibility as Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered Trilogy.

However, if there's one gripe about the game, it's the fact that it starts without a platinum trophy. Notably, the title, which was a dual release on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, mysteriously did not have a platinum trophy for the PS5 version, but the PS4 version had three individual platinum trophies for each of the three games.

Tomb Raider Remastered is a bittersweet reminder of how games used to be

The medium has changed so much over the past three decades – for better and for worse.

In other words, you can unlock all 268 trophies in the game, and still not end up with platinum, and we all know how serious trophy hunters are about their platinum.

Yes, we still can't explain that. Because the follow-up, Tomb Raider 4-6 Remastered, has a platinum on its list, so it's not entirely impossible.

Now, through a new update, more trophies are being added to Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered Trilogy, but there is still no platinum to be seen.

All but Kitchen sink A lustrous platinum

As first spotted by Push Square , a new update to the Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered Trilogy that matches its native Nintendo Switch 2 port has gone live on all consoles, and it's bundled with Challenge Mode, 10 new costumes and — wait for it — 15 new trophies to collect, not to mention collect.

If there's insult to injury, it's the fact that, according to PSNProfiles, all 15 trophies are bronze, although they have some rather heavy requirements, such as completing the “Colosseum” level without killing anyone in challenge mode on CR20.

At this point, if new content updates and patches weren't enough to force a platinum trophy, then it probably never will. So, if you find yourself trying to find trophies in Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered, your best bet is to play the PS4 version. Otherwise, you'll be stuck with a laundry list of digital collectibles and nothing to remind them of.
