The 10 Strongest Unmorphed Rangers, Ranked

Power Rangers One of the most popular television-based superhero shows in history. The series generally follows a group of teenagers who have access to a morphine grid, which gives them indescribable powers. However, not every ranger is completely dependent on the morphine grid to function. Many of the most influential Rangers in history have unmorphed as much.

Power Rangers are primarily a group of guardians, they are usually skilled martial artists. Many notable Rangers, like RJ, are just as efficient without their morphers as they are with them. Other powerful rangers, such as the incredible Tommy Oliver, have kicked dinosaurs in the face without access to a morpher. At the end of the day, many Rangers are as capable without their powers as they are with access to the Morphine Grid.

Sydney “Syd” Drew can transform his body at will to make himself stronger

Power Rangers: SPD

Sydney Drew Power Rangers Spd Image via Hasbro

On the surface, Sidney “Sid” Drew seems completely superficial. She is initially more concerned with her looks than the safety of her other friends. Thankfully, she learns to be a team player and turns into one of the most powerful SPD Rangers in history. Before he was born his parents were exposed to mysterious radiation, which caused him to be born with interesting powers.

Power Rangers: 10 Best Green Rangers, Ranked

Green may have joined the Power Rangers as an extra member of the group, but quickly became one of the team's main colors.

Sid can change his atomic structure to any element he touches. His most used attack, “Iron Fist”, is by grabbing a piece of iron from Sid and hardening his fist into the same material. Still, she can easily do it with stronger materials like diamonds, which she has done on occasion. She may not look like one of the strongest rangers at first glance, but she will easily defeat almost any regular ranger in a fist fight.

Robert James or “RJ” is a competent and confident martial artist

Power Rangers: Jungle Fury

RJ Power Rangers Jungle Fury Image via Hasbro

“RJ” is the mentor of the Jungle Fury Rangers and the series 'Purple Ranger'. On top of his close mastery of animal spirits, he is a true master of the Pi Zhuk martial arts and regularly schools the other three Rangers. He may seem like a complete pushover, but that's a big part of his overall battle strategy. He may have a wolfish fighting spirit, but that doesn't mean he's always a lone wolf.

Purple Power Rangers

Power Rangers: 8 powerful purple rangers, ranked

There aren't many Purple Power Rangers in the franchise but these are the strongest of the bunch.

Besides being a master martial artist, RJ also has a brain to match his brawn. He creates most of the gear the team uses to become Rangers and is the entire reason they are able to do so in the first place. RJ is one of the few Rangers whose additional form does not fall into the morphing grid. When he first loses control of his wolf animal spirit, he takes on a werewolf-like form with some truly terrifying powers.

Merrick Baliton is actually a 3000-year-old warrior, despite his appearance

Power Rangers: Wild Force

Merrick Baliton may look like he's in his late 30s, but he's actually over 3,000 years old. He may be trapped in another body, but that doesn't mean he doesn't hold many millennia of combat experience. He regularly returns when the Power Rangers need his help and is one of the most active Sixth Rangers in the series.

On top of incredible marksmanship, Merrick is one of the best supporting characters in the entire series. He is also the first Ranger in the series to sport facial hair. At the end of the day, his age and wisdom afford him a level of experience that no other Silver Power Rangers within the entire franchise can afford.

Trent Fernandez can teleport, camouflage, and have access to super speed

Power Rangers: Dino Thunder

Trent Fernandez Power Rangers Dino Thunder Image via Hasbro

Trent Fernandez is one of the most impressive Sixth Rangers in the entire series, simply because his powers are not tied to the Morpher. Like the other Dino Thunder Rangers, he can access his powers whether he is morphed or not. However, in Fernandez's case, this means that he has an abundance of incredible powers even without access to the morphine grid.

In his base form, Trent has access to teleportation, camouflage, and super speed. This fact alone will defeat many powerful Power Rangers, but his abilities come at a terrible price at first. He may be one of the strongest Unmorphed Rangers, but he risks being corrupted at any point.

Ravi Shaw is enhanced by gorilla DNA

Power Rangers: Beast Morphers

Ravi Shaw is one of the strongest modern Power Rangers, though that's not entirely his job. Like the rest of the Beast Morphers Rangers, Shaw is enhanced by animal DNA. Shaw's creature of choice happens to be a gorilla, which gives him some really impressive strength and prowess.

Gorillas routinely lift up to 1,800 pounds, indicating that Shaw can too. If so, Shaw has the most impressive raw power of any Power Rangers in existence. He may not get many opportunities to display his great ape strength, but when he does, it's as impressive as the strength suggests.

Dylan's cybernetic enhancements allow him to lift cars

Power Rangers: RPM

Dillon

since Power Rangers RPM Set in a post-apocalyptic world, many of the characters have certain improvements to help them in their daily lives. A perfect example of this is the RPM Black Power Ranger, Dylan. He has cybernetic enhancements within his arms that have also allowed him to lift cars.

The cars average around 4,000 pounds, making the Dillon an absolute power house. It's a relative miracle that he doesn't kill his enemies in battle, and probably has to hold back while fighting them. This feat alone makes Dillon one of the most underrated of the Rangers, and also indicates that there may be an upper limit to a Power Ranger's power. That said, Dylan isn't technically the strongest Power Ranger.

4

Katie Walker has literal super powers

Power Rangers: Time Force

Katie Walker is easily the most physically strong Power Ranger in the history of the franchise. She routinely lifts large pieces of debris with ease, and even lifts heavier machinery than most cars. There is no competition when it comes to a strong ranger, and Katie has proven that within the series as well.

Walker famously fought Danny the Wild Force Black Power Ranger in arm wrestling and quickly defeated him. Since he is already considered one of the strongest Rangers, the fact that Walker can easily defeat him is a credit to his strength. Power isn't everything, but there aren't many Power Rangers with more power than Katie Walker.

3

Jason Lee Scott is one of the best martial artists in the series

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers

When Jason Lee Scott first starts Mighty Morphin Power RangersHe is already an expert martial artist. He teaches classes at the local rec center, and regularly works for the good of others. Scott doesn't give up, which is one of his defining traits within the series. He leads the Mighty Morphin team before going back inside Zeo As the Gold Ranger.

White Ranger with Sword, Red Ranger with Sword, and Green Ninja Storm Ranger with Sword

10 Strongest Power Rangers Who Use Swords, Ranked

Many Power Rangers have wielded swords throughout their remarkable careers, but some are more skilled with the blade than others.

Scott performs equally well in both series, and is one of the best Rangers of all time. Not only was he good enough to be considered a teacher, but he has gone down as one of the most influential figures of all time. As far as the Red Rangers are concerned, he may not be the greatest, but he is the most iconic.

2

Anubis Cruger defeats SPD's big bad, while Unmorphed

Power Rangers: SPD

Anubis Cruger is an alien, and his physiology gives him a level of power previously unknown to the other Rangers. He may look like a dog, but he's actually a Sirian, which means he's survived wounds that other Rangers would surely perish from. Kruger also has supersonic hearing, which isn't always useful but comes in handy from time to time.

Power Rangers: 10 Best Black Rangers, Ranked

The Black Rangers usually serve as second-in-command to the Red Rangers and are often one of the most popular Rangers of any series.

Krueger is, for a reason, the SPD Shadow Ranger and Commander of the SPD Earth Base. He is one of the most comparable swordsmen in the series, and regularly defeats even the strongest of opponents. Kruger may make many of his most important appearances in the Shadow Ranger suit, but he's just as capable without it.

Tommy Oliver kicks a literal dinosaur in the face

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers

Tommy Oliver kicks a dinosaur in the face in Power Rangers Dino Thunder

Tommy Oliver is the most powerful Power Ranger in the entire series. He is the longest-serving Ranger in the entire franchise, and regularly faces villains more powerful than himself. He has led more teams of Power Rangers than any other Ranger, and is always considered the true leader among the Red Rangers in the Red Special.

Oliver may not be in as many battles as Dino Thunder-era used to be, but he proves he's still a force to be reckoned with. Tommy kicks a literal Tyrannosaurus Rex, or an assimilated face of one, in the first episode of the series. He does so unmorphed and that's just a power that no other ranger can compete with.
