The Marathon The community has successfully unlocked the Cryo Archive map and Bungie is providing players with more details on what to expect and when they will be able to access it. After a long development cycle and huge delays, Marathon It finally started earlier this month. While it may not have defeated ARC Raiders, Marathon seems to have carved out its own niche within the extraction shooter genre, and with Bungie continuing to update, tweak and release new content, it could entice players to keep logging in well into the future.

Bungie certainly has plenty of experience in the live-services field thanks to its previous work with the Destiny franchise, with the studio seemingly taking things to the next level with the pace of its changes. Already, Bungie has addressed many fan frustrations with fixes MarathonWhile making major adjustments to vault space stacking, battle passes and premium currency known as LUX. As Bungie continues to tweak the in-game experience, new content is now on the way that will not only provide new challenges, but also some great loot.

Marathon Cryo Archive Map Requirements
The Marathon The community has cracked another Bungie ARG and finally unlocked the Cryo Archive map. In response, Bungie released a lengthy blog post revealing more details about the mysterious endgame-level map as well as teasing what kind of experience players are in for. As expected, the cryo archive takes place inside the “first deck” of the UESC Marathon ship, giving a glimpse into how big the ship really is and opening up other areas in the future. The map also has different rules that players may have to learn over multiple runs, as the blog recognizes that Xfill areas are less reliable and players may need to adapt.
Bungie calls the peak challenge for the Cryo Archive MarathonAdding Raid-style puzzles to solve, new mechanics to master, all while trying to stay alive against other players and AI enemies. Players will need to improve their safety clearance, which must be done during the race by interacting with the ship's systems. The higher the clearance level, the more access there will be to different rooms, doors and even the exfil players. The real prize lies behind the Cryo Archive's seven heavily-secured vaults, which Bungie ensures contain some of the best loot in the game, filled with unique golden weapons and high-end valuables, materials and tools.

However, unlike other Marathon maps, Cryo Archive is considered part of the end-game experience and is therefore not available to everyone. Specifically, the Cryo Archive is only open to runners who are at least level 25, with all six unlocked. Marathonfactions, and has a minimum loadout value of 5,000 credits. Keep in mind, this refers to the value of a player's equipped gear, so it stands to reason that players won't be able to slap on low-level gear, they'll need to be willing to put some good stuff in line to access the map. For players who meet these requirements and don't want to sacrifice anything on the first run, usually just to learn, they'll receive a one-time Cryo Archive sponsored kit from the Armory filled with blue-tier gear.
Not only that, Bungie has put more restrictions on it, making it available only on weekends, similar to the Trials of Osiris game mode. Fate 2. As the blog post revealed, Cryo Archive officially opens on Friday, March 20 and will be available to play over the weekend, designed to be tackled by teams of three, so don't expect to take it.
