The last 3 rumors from us are reignited after the former dev mentioned a “future game”.

Neil Druckmann has been dropping hints about a possible new The Last of You game since September of last year. He noted that the studio is having “ongoing conversations” about The Last of Us. Recently, he shared some original concept art for TLOU and noted that there are “some stops along the way.”

Of course, none of this confirms that a new game in the series is on the way, but the evidence seems to be piling up. Former The Last of You Online lead, Vineet Agarwal, recently arrived in Tokyo from Lance E. Lee appeared on the podcast, where he dropped another hint about a possible new Last of Us game.

There may be more evidence of another TLOU game

As spotted by GamesRadar, Agarwal spoke about his experience working as game director on the ultimately canceled The Last of Us Online. He said that after staying at the studio for about a year, he became the game director of another project. “They made me the game director for their future games,” he said. “I stayed with that for a year, and so after a year I decided, 'No, I'm going to take the plunge, I'm going to take the risk.'

I'll bet there's more to the last of us

Naughty dogs love surprises.

Kicker is the “game of the future” here, Agarwal said. We already know that Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet will be helmed by Neil Druckmann, and Offerwall even calls it “Neil's game” during an interview. Of course, this project could be something else, but given how much Druckmann is talking about another TLOU game, this “future game” talk just adds to the pile of evidence.

In the interview, Agarwal reflected on the work he did for The Last of Us Online before its cancellation. He said the game was about 80 percent finished before Naughty Dog decided to cancel due to budget and time constraints.
