Super Saiyan was the go-to transformation Dragon Ball The series goes back to when Goku unlocked SSJ fighting Frieza on Namek DBZ. With the debut of Ultra Instinct in the Dragon Ball SuperThe Tournament of Power, however, Dragon Ball Gameplay was changed by more or less eliminating the different levels of Super Saiyans in favor of unique individual transformations for different characters.
Personal transformation is the best thing Dragon Ball Super has done for the series, turning forms into true expressions of each character's personality and skill set. Between Ultra Ego Vegeta and Gohan Beast, Dragon Ball Forms only make more sense when they aren't just die jobs any character can unlock without effort or story weight.

Super Saiyan Rage Future Trunks is basically the form of God
in Dragon Ball Super anime, Future Trunks unlocks Super Saiyan Rage, a unique transformation with hardly any information not seen since his final battle with Masu. Super Saiyan Rage visually looks like a cross between Future Trunks' Super Saiyan 2, and Super Saiyan Blue.
It is implied that Future Trunks absorbed some of Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta's God Ki while the two were training together earlier in the Goku Black Saga, as Vegeta picked up God Ki naturally while training under Whis on the planet of Virus. Super Saiyan Rage Future Trunks is not an overly powerful form like some of Trunks' other personal transformations, but it represents Trunks' ironclad desire to do whatever it takes to save his future self and gives him enough power to cut a fused Zamasu in two (ultimately for what little good he could).

Super Saiyan Rose Goku Black is what happens when Saiyan Ki, God Ki, and Kai Ki mix
Super Saiyan Rosé is a version of Super Saiyan Blue at its core, but is completely unique due to the mixture of Saiyan Ki, God Ki and Supreme Kai in Goku Black's body. Notably, Super Saiyan Rose is actually the first personal transformation to debut Dragon Ball Super (Golden Frieza was actually introduced in one Dragon Ball Z Movies, and no Dragon Ball Super appropriate).
Super Saiyan Rose makes Goku Black much stronger than Goku or Vegeta, and represents his chimera-like nature as a character. Goku Black may have Goku's body and DNA, but he absolutely has Zamasu's ruthless mind and personality. Planet Moro literally aligned itself with Earth
Moro is the only one Dragon Ball A villain who can use Ultra Instinct, but his most unique and powerful transformation occurs when he merges with planet Earth. After absorbing Merus' angelic powers, Ultra Instinct proves too much for Moro's mortal body to handle, as he slowly begins to tear apart from the inside. In a desperate bid to survive, Moro's instability allows him to merge with the Earth itself.
The planet Moro is extremely strong, able to drain energy from every living thing above it. Goku fails to completely defeat Moro, only for Vegeta to land a killing blow thanks to the use of Forced Spirit Fison and a massive Ki donation from Uub, who is reincarnated with all of Majin Buu's God's Ki intact. Planet Moro represents Moro's volatility and constant need to consume to an extreme level.

Akira Toriyama created Orange Piccolo so that Piccolo could eventually rival Goku and Vegeta in terms of power level. Dragon Ball Super. Orange Piccolo is, at its core, a form of fan service – which is fitting considering that Piccolo was always Akira Toriyama's favorite character. Orange Piccolo puts Piccolo back in the running, and he goes on to do incredible things in the Black Frieza Saga instead of missing out like he has in every arc between the Majin Buu Saga and the Majin Buu Saga. Ultra Ego Vegeta gets stronger the more he fights
Ultra Ego is Vegeta's answer to Ultra Instinct – quite literally, actually. Where Goku focuses on refining his instincts, Vegeta transforms his ego and power into a transformation that better suits his personality and skill set. Ultra Ego allows Vegeta to become stronger the longer Vegeta fights and the more damage he takes, two of his best traits being how often Vegeta kicks his butt.
Vegeta unlocks Ultra Ego when Granolah fights Granolah in The Survivor Saga, quickly turning the tide against Cerelion. Unfortunately for Vegeta, his mastery of Ultra Ego is so rusty, he exhausts all of his energy before he lands the final blow. Once Vegeta masters Ultra Ego, however, he is no match for Goku.

True Ultra Instinct Goku found a way to stack his forms on top of the UI
Ultra Instinct is not a form unique to Goku by any means, but true Ultra Instinct absolutely is. During the Granolah the Survivor Saga, Goku learns how to activate Ultra Instinct whenever he wants, despite his heart and mental state not being calm. This turns Ultra Instinct into basically any other transformation, but has the added benefit of allowing Goku to use all the benefits of the Ultra Instinct sign.
True Ultra Instinct allows Goku to stack his various Super Saiyan forms on top of it, giving him all of the power multipliers of his God forms along with all of his signature boosts. In his battle with Granolah, Goku uses both Super Saiyan God and Super Saiyan Blue on top of True Ultra Instinct to give himself faster reaction time and higher power levels. By the end of the arc, Goku's mastery of True Ultra Instinct has become so sophisticated, his strength is comparable to his regular Ultra Instinct form.

Gohan Beast is the strongest Z-Fighter form by a mile

Black Frieza is a nightmare brought to life
Black Frieza isn't just the strongest individual form Dragon Ball SuperThis is the most powerful transformation in the entire franchise. In his debut, Black Frieza not only managed to kill Awakened Gas in one hit, he knocked out both True Ultra Instinct Goku and Ultra Ego Vegeta with a ridiculously fast strike that neither character had enough to react to. Black Frieza is the pinnacle of Frieza's power, a fierce form born from Goku's biggest mistake: humiliating Frieza and encouraging him to train.
Black Frieza is set up as the next (and possibly final) villain of the series, but it's unclear who might defeat him. Gohan Beast is extremely strong in his own right, but he isn't that Perfected Ultra Instinct much stronger than Goku's ending Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. Things don't look good for the Z-Fighters as long as Black Frieza is around.
