Silksong physical version price and release date revealed

A reliable insider has claimed that the long-awaited physical release of Hollow Knight: Silksong is starting in October and will come with some bonus goodies.

It's a little wild to think that this time last year, we were all still wondering when Team Cherry might finally share more details about Hollow Knight: Silksong after more than half a decade of waiting. Although Silksong mostly met expectations and has been out for almost a year, that passion has only shifted to other things related to the game.

A notable example of this is the game's mysterious Sea of Sorrows DLC, but for tat collectors like me, the biggest remaining question is about Silksong's physical release, which was confirmed a while ago but has yet to show up. That looks set to change in the near future, however, as a reliable source has revealed Team Cherry's plans for a disc version.

A re-release of the original Hollow Knight is also on the way

On Twitter, reliable insider bilbil_kun shared an exclusive report about the physical release of Silksong which recently went live on Dealabs. According to them, the disc version that was promised for “early 2026” and has since missed that date is finally coming to Switch 2, PS5, Xbox series, and Xbox One on October 16th (in the US, at least).

The physical release will be handled by Fangamer, who was previously involved with the physical versions of the original Hollow Knight, and it will reportedly come with a disc, a 32-page manual, and a fold-out map of Farloom. It's not clear if this is the only version on offer right now, but it will apparently cost $39.99 on the PS5 and Xbox Series X and $44.99 on the Switch 2.

That's not all that DeLabs is reporting, though, as a physical re-release of the original Hollow Knight is reportedly planned for a same-day release for Switch 2 and PS5. This re-release is similar to the Silksong physical version, as it comes with a disc, a 28-page manual, and a fold-out map of Hallownest for $34.99 on PS5 and $39.99 on Switch 2.
