Majin Vegeta gave up his pride for the final battle with Goku

Dragon Ball Manga and Dragon Ball Z

Once the 25th World Martial Arts Tournament was dissolved and Vegeta found out that he had acquired Goku a lot Stronger than he is while training in other worlds, he begins to wander mentally, which Babidi attributes to him. Bebidi uses his manipulation magic to awaken the evil in Vegeta's heart, granting him great power and turning him into one of his Majin warriors.

Unfortunately for Babidi, Vegeta is so powerful, his tone does nothing but give him a buff. Majin Vegeta is as strong as Super Saiyan 2 Goku when fighting at full power. The energy gained from Goku and Majin Vegeta's fight is also so overwhelming, they revive Majin Buu far ahead of schedule. By all metrics, the power-up Vegeta gets from transforming into a Majin is permanent, as he remains strong enough to eventually stall against Kid Buu. DBZ – The thing that kills him at the beginning of the arc.
