One of Cliff Bleszinski's recent tweets reads, “Those grasshoppers are dying easy, just saying”. His post probably refers to the fighting gameplay Gears of War: E-Day Revealed during the Xbox Game Showcase, where Marcus Fenix is seen taking down Locust Drones. To further illustrate his point, Bleszinski added that when Randy Pitchford played the original Gears of WarHe said, “Wow, it's a pill, isn't it?” The former game designer also said, “The locust's skin and armor should be thick, and the game feedback loop should evolve to reflect that.”

When another fan pointed out that the enemies in the demo had “zero reaction to bullets”, the game designer responded by saying, “That's one of my big notes to be honest.” In other words, Bleszinski didn't seem concerned about how quickly Gears of War: E-DayLocust-type enemies die, but lack animation feedback and how they react when taking damage.
