While the pair of deities seem aligned, they are also opposites: Begtse is a giant, brute-like force of nature, while Sekhmet's design is more human-like, beautiful and feminine, drawing inspiration from traditional depictions of goddesses yet boasting Santa Monica's own or worse libre.

Of course, Santa Monica is free to adapt the mythology however it likes it – it's certainly taken more creative liberties than this Sekhmet anomaly has in the past. So, no, it doesn't strictly matter Laufey God of War It's accurate in its portrayal, and indeed, the creative differences can set the stage for more interesting developments.

Cobras are commonly associated with the powerful Egyptian goddess Wadjet, patroness of Lower Egypt. As it happens, Amun was later merged with Sekhmet's father Ra in Egyptian mythology. maybe Laufey God of WarTaking on Sekhmet is a reference to these creatures, or perhaps it indicates an upcoming rebellion. For example, maybe LaufeSekhmet merged with Wadjet and Amun-Ra, his apparently misplaced appearance actually a sign of something bigger, narratively speaking.
