Assassin's Creed Shadows Black Tides Walkthrough and Rewards

Last update for Assassin's Creed Shadows The game introduces a ton of new content, including a new story mission that covers Nao and Yasuke's story and also ties it into Edward Kenway's Caribbean adventures. Assassin's Creed Black Flag resynced.

As with some other post-launch content Assassin's Creed ShadowsTitle Update 1.1.11 is completely free, meaning that anyone who owns the base game can check out Black Tides without spending a dime. However, before you start the free story DLC, you need to meet some basic requirements first.

How to start Assassin's Creed Shadows Free Story DLC

In order to trigger the Black Tides story mission, you need to first Complete the main story as well as the first two post-launch quests. “A Critical Encounter” can be started by talking to an NPC called Rufino in the hideout, while “A Puzzlement” can be started by talking to Kinu and Ken near Kuji-Kiri, the Kazi Monzeki shrine on the border between Wakasa and Omi. You won't need to reforge the Blade of Yumminess (and you'll still be able to do so after completing Black Tides), but you will need to find all 13 Isu Glyphs and open the Glyph Door. Assuming all these requirements are met, You'll be able to start Black Tides by visiting a quest marker in a small settlement on the southwestern edge of Kii.. The quest will automatically trigger when you get close to it.

1. Complete all Assassin's Creed Shadows Main story missions.

How to Complete Assassin's Creed Shadows Black Tides (Walkthrough)

Black Tides

Black Tides begins with a cutscene in which you are introduced to Sir Eamon Hathaway, Simon Hathaway's ancestor, who first appeared in the 2016 novel, Assassin's Creed: Heresy. Emon is a member of an elite Templar unit known as the Black Cross and is in the process of interrogating some local children when Nao and Yasuke arrive.

After watching the cutscene, you will need Track down the drunken captain Iman mentioned. As luck would have it, he's nearby, so head southeast to the location shown in the image above. Upon your arrival, you will play a drinking game to gather information, but The choices you make matterAs Yasuke needs to drink either way. The last question technically has the correct answer (The Templars are looking for space), but whatever you choose, You will have to fight Yang.

Once Yang was silenced, Check the trail of bloodand Follow the blue markers around the surrounding area. They'll take you through some restricted areas, but as long as you're stealthy, it shouldn't slow you down too much. The bloodstains eventually lead you to the masked assassin, Nirmala, who is also a member of the Black Cross. She is not as honorable as Eamonn, though, and injures a civilian so she can escape.

A double-cross objective is what you need Investigation of shipwrecks in eastern KiiSo go to the location shown on the map above. Once there, you need to take care of some scavengers, after which, you will be free Search area. There are some notes lying around, but to progress, you need to Pick up the key on the barrel. This key opens three underwater chests nearby. Of course, the information you need is in the farthest chest, so Exit the bow of the ship and dive towards the marker.

While Naoe searches for the crew's logs, Yasuke runs into Nirmala. After fighting him one-on-one, you'll need it Take Nirmala and Iman together. Even though it's Iman's name on the health bar, if you feel comfortable dealing with Nirmala you can end the fight by targeting her. Once the encounter is over, watch the cutscene Navigate the darkness by heading towards the bright sights. There are only three of them, which you will need later on Shadow defeated YasukeWhich is very easy to lose.

Burial Mysteries

With Yasuke out of action, you'll be teaming up with someone new for this next segment. You won't be able to control him, but you will need to Help Rufino progress through the chambers by standing on the glowing platforms. Navigate through the first few sections using parkour until you reach a large chamber and a showdown with Nirmala. You can bait him into glyphs to trigger booby traps if you want, but I found it easier to take him out with regular attacks. If you need them, There are two ration refill baskets nearby.

Once you get Nirmala's health down a bit, Iman appears, and the difficulty turns up to eleven. This is similar to the alternate Hanzo fight from earlier in the game, only with two enemies instead of one. You will need Be quick with your parries and dodgesAnd constantly too, as they will block most attacks you throw at them. As before, you can try to use a booby trap, but Keeping her distance from Eman, Nirmala became easy to target. Emon will periodically throw kunai, though, so you need to be ready to dodge these as needed.

Eventually, Yasuke shows up to help even the odds, and a pretty cool cutscene ensues. Once it's over, you'll fight Emon with Yasuke, though it's much easier than the previous encounter. Eamon goes down quicklyEspecially if you opt for a brute force approach with well-timed parries. After he falls, there is another cutscene, and for the post-launch story DLC Assassin's Creed Shadows Finally comes to an end. As you might expect, there are plenty of prizes.

All Assassin's Creed Shadows Black Tides Quest Rewards

After completing the Black Tides DLC quest, you will be awarded new weapons, armor and trinkets for both Naoe and Yasuke. Yasuke gets Emon's weapons and armor, while Nao gets Nirmala's. Both characters get trinkets based on the wood carvings that Emon showed the kids in the introductory cutscene, as well as trinkets based on the beacon that Yasuke broke at the end. You'll also get seven new engravings and an End of Order trophy/achievement.
