Old people are easily the biggest threat Burglin' Gnomes. One minute you're rummaging around looking for loot, and the next he's chasing you through the house. If he catches you, things usually don't end well. He has many creative ways to deal with you and your gnome friends, but there is a way to counter him.
A taser shock will knock out the old man for a short time, but it can be hard to find, so we've added a few locations where we've managed to find a taser so you can grab one in your game and save your run!

How to get a Taser on Burglin' Gnomes
Taser location
Taser does not have a fixed spawn location. I found it in my kitchen drawer, but I've seen other players get it from drawers in different rooms. Because of that, there is no guaranteed location that you can run to at the beginning of the game.
Your best bet is to open every drawer you can find While exploring the house. It may take some searching, but it's currently the most reliable way to find a Taser. You'll know you've found the right item when you see it. The taser is a small black device with 'ZUN' written on it. It also emits an electric sound.
To use a Taser, Press E While holding it. The moment it connects, the The old man falls to the ground and remains unconscious for about 10 seconds. That's usually enough time to walk away, do what you were doing, or take his gun if he can carry it. I used it while he was charging me, and it probably saved my race!
You'll also occasionally get a task that asks you to tame a human, rat, or roach. If a higher gnome gives you that task, use the taser on the required target to accomplish it, and since a human is the biggest and most obvious target, feel free to zap him!
Like a gun, a Taser can be used many times, but not forever, so use it sparingly!
