Boruto: Two Blue Vortexes is the second part of Boruto series, which is constantly driving the world of ninjas towards its ultimate destruction. Amidst all this, Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha are two important characters that we all are eagerly waiting to see in action once again. At the end of Boruto Part 1, both Naruto and Sasuke were discouraged in different ways. While Naruto is sealed by Kawaki, Sasuke Uchiha is revealed to have been turned into a tree by the code during the timeskip.

With the return of Naruto and Sasuke comes the biggest challenge since the fight with Isshiki Otsutsuki 6 years ago, and that is to gain even greater power and become relevant once again in the power scale of this highly competitive universe.
Boruto's new arc officially charts Naruto and Sasuke's return path
Boruto officially marked the conclusion of the Mamushi arc in V-Jump issue #6 on April 20, 2026, and the following month, in V-Jump #7 on May 20, 2026, the series officially marked the beginning of a new arc. This month, on June 18, 2026, this new arc continues with another chapter. In Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 35, it was officially confirmed that the new arc will focus heavily on the growing bond with Hidari and Jura. Thus, Shinju Hidari is officially established as the main villain of this new arc. With Hidari lined up as the main enemy, the return of Sasuke Uchiha is officially on the cards. The return of legendary player Uchiha, who has been away from the Boruto series for 3 years, is only a few months away.

As soon as Hidari falls, his Thorn Soul Bulb, which carries the user's essence, will be taken by Boruto and Sarada, and can then possibly be used to free Sasuke Uchiha immediately. With Sasuke's return, the path to Naruto Uzumaki's return also officially opens. This is something that we are eagerly waiting to see, because we have spent years without these legendary characters that we grew up watching, and finally, they are going to play an important role in the story once again.

While Boruto: Two Blue Vortexes Having already paved the way for the return of both Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha, considering they are weaker than before poses an even bigger problem. In Boruto chapters 54 and 55, both Naruto and Sasuke lose their Six Path Powers in their fight against Isshiki Otsutsuki, and are thus limited in terms of what they can do in combat. Although their base strength seems to have greatly improved, Naruto and Sasuke need new sources of power, and this is going to be their biggest challenge in the new story.

Sasuke Uchiha only has access to his Mangekyo Sharingan, and ideally, he needs something even stronger. Similarly Naruto only has access to his Sage Mode, and he also needs a massive upgrade to make him even stronger. This is one of Boruto's biggest challenges: two Blue Vortexes lined up for these massively important characters, and one that we'd be happy to see them take on because it could push them even further in terms of power.
Interestingly, Boruto: Two Blue Vortexes It has been officially confirmed that Sasuke Uchiha has become significantly stronger since the timeskip, despite losing his six path powers. This is due to his training with Boruto Uzumaki, and with Sasuke's new power level, we can be assured that Naruto will also return with an upgraded overall power level.

That said, we'd certainly love to see new weapons added to their arsenal. For Naruto, a new connection with the Tailed Beasts of the world would be sensational for all of us to witness, or even a new power gained from his fight with Jura would be fun for us to watch. As for Sasuke Uchiha, taking the Mangekyo Sharingan's abilities to a whole new level, or maybe connecting with Orochimaru once again to gain more strength, would be very exciting to watch.

Why Naruto and Sasuke will become official strong again
Regardless of what producers Masashi Kishimoto and Mikio Ikemoto say about it, Naruto and Sasuke will return to the two blue vortexes stronger than ever, and that's something we're eagerly waiting to see. At the end of the day, the enemies in the Boruto series are only getting stronger, and Konoha needs the best to stand at the forefront and defend it. In that sense, Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha have a very important role in it Boruto Towards the end of the series, and hopefully, they'll have new abilities up their sleeves when needed.

For now, we patiently await the return of Sasuke Uchiha, who is first in line to make a comeback in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex at the end of the Hidari arc. Following this arc, the focus is once again thrown on the Seventh Hokage, Naruto Uzumaki, and hopefully, his return won't be too far off. With this, Boruto is officially heading into its final segment, where the battle between Boruto Uzumaki and Kawaki, which was officially teased in the epilogue on May 16, 2016, will finally take place.
