Mauser C96

Pistol starting origin

Great for trigger fingers.

Ricochet rounds and penetration power.

AN-94 (Actuated neutralizer 94000)

Fixed wall-mounted assault rifle

AN-94 (Actuated neutralizer 94000)

The AN-94 is not only the best weapon Black Ops 2 Multiplayer (with our class setup here), but it's one of the best weapons in Black Ops 2 Zombies. As a wall-buy on Die Rise and Buried, the AN-94 will set you up nicely thanks to its large ammo capacity. Although it's not exactly the highest damage assault rifle, it's still very reliable to keep you alive, so give it a go!

executioner (voice of justice)

Shotgun power in the palm of your hand

executioner (voice of justice)

At first an unassuming snub-nose revolver, the Pack-A-Punch becomes the voice of executioner justice, and that's when it really starts to shine. Combined with Double Tap 2.0, the Executioner's upgrade delivers devastating shotgun pellets that melt any zombies that block your path.

DSR 50 (Dead Sample Reactor 5000)

Powerful bolt-action on no-scope zombies

DSR 50 (Dead Sample Reactor 5000)

The DSR 50 is the ultimate bolt-action sniper rifle, and it's made even better with a pack-a-punch upgrade to turn it into the Dead Specimen Reactor 5000. More pack-a-punch upgrades can also provide an iron sight instead of a scope, allowing for faster ADS. There is no barrier to entry of this weapon, so line up your shots and immediately enjoy killing some zombies in your sights.

SVU-AS (Shadowy Veil Utilizer)

Great Ammo, Great DPS, Great Sniping!

SVU-AS (Shadowy Veil Utilizer)

While SVU-AS actually has less than DSR 50 damage, it has a higher rate of fire and can be bought off the wall in Die Rise and Buried! Because of the fire rate, you'll find that the SVU-AS has greater DPS than the DSR 50, plus, it has a higher ammo count of 200 bullets! If you want a single-fire gun that won't miss, then grab this gun!

HAMR (SLDG HAMR)

A great ammo pool with a fast fire rate

HAMR (SLDG HAMR)

The HAMR is a light machine gun, and while I usually discourage such a heavy-feeling weapon due to the harsh movement penalty it imparts on your speed, the HAMR actually works surprisingly well. With a large 100-round magazine and an even larger reserve pool in the ammo stock, the HAMR has the three things you need: damage, speed, and ammo, so why not grab the trigger and grab those camping spots?

PDW-57 (Predictive Death Wish 57000)

Assault rifle packed in SMG

PDW-57 (Predictive Death Wish 57000)

The PDW-57 is an SMG, but its high ammo capacity in both magazines and stores, and the fact that it can be purchased from Walls of Die Rise, Bured, and Origins, make it a great choice if you're looking to farm points, get kills, and buy ammo. The PDW-57 is more like an Assault Rifle in a lightweight frame than an SMG!

Mauser C96 (Boomhilda)

A starting pistol that becomes a ray gun-light

How to get the Golden Shovel in Genesis (6)

The Mauser C96 is the original map-specific starting pistol, and it doesn't feature anywhere. Either way, it's always a smart choice to keep it around in a pack-a-punch (or you can just use digging sites and get lucky). Boomhilda is a fully automatic pistol, with 50-round magazines, kinetic rounds that can ricochet off targets and hit other zombies, and an explosion that's strong enough to unlock you a new movement technique.

While the Mauser C96 is only in Origins, it's worth mentioning how powerful it is. Other maps have 1911, which becomes Mustang & Sally when Pack-a-Punched, which is nice, but risky without the PhD Flopper.
