Dragon Ball Super is about to introduce the best villain from Perfect Cell

Dragon Ball Fans have met some of the best and most iconic antagonists the anime industry has ever seen. Because the series features such incredible characters, they are often seen as the basis for villains in other anime franchises, and often the benchmark for them to reach.

Arguably the biggest villain of them all is Perfect Cell, who was the main antagonist of the Cell Saga. Although Cell was strong, it was his personality that made him such a beloved character. Dragon Ball Super 2 Perfect Cell is set to unveil the next best villain who is fondly remembered for many reasons, so let's see who it could be.

Moro was the biggest threat millions of years ago

Before the franchise started with the original Dragon BallUniverse 7 was a very different place than what fans had seen. Within this confusing time, there were some names that have been written into legend and infamy, such as Majin Buu and Beerus. However, one name that was largely forgotten by time was that of Moro.

This erasure from public memory was quite deliberate, even though Morrow was one of the most powerful and unhinged villains in the history of the multiverse whom everyone thought best to forget entirely. After being released from captivity by the Galactic Patrol prison, fans actually saw why he was feared in the first place.

Moro had some of the most terrifying forms and abilities

Morrow is a deadly opponent

One of the main reasons why Moro stood out from many of the series' villains was his incredible appearance. Designed by Toyotaro as an homage to monsters in traditional Western folklore, the artist has modeled Moro with goat-like features to convey a sense of pure evil, while also wanting to hammer home the fact that he cannot be redeemed, like villains like Vegeta or Piccolo in the past.

This design philosophy remains intact with each of his looks. Morrow was also an energy absorber of some of the franchise's most iconic villains, such as Cell, though Morrow's abilities have so far eclipsed anyone else. This is because Moro had the power to drain entire planets of their energy and life force, leaving them completely barren and destitute while he himself rose to intense power. It was mainly through these means that he would become stronger and more youthful as the pressure increased.

Starting out as an old and frail wizard, Moro would then accumulate a pile of energy through his absorption powers, which unlocked a more youthful appearance for him and made him even stronger than before. Although his strongest form received some criticism due to its traditional villain design, the power he possessed with it was quite terrifying.

This is because the Moro succeeded in absorbing the Merus; An angel in training. In doing so, he received an exponential increase in strength and also gained the ability to use Ultra Instinct, marking him as the first villain to be shown with this ability and equaling the most powerful state of Goku's Mastered Ultra Instinct, making for an incredible showdown between the two.

Ultimately, this increase in power proved to be too much for the villain, causing him to lose his mind and undergo a final transformation that was not only stronger than any before it, but also completely unhinged. Moro grew to gigantic proportions and merged with Earth itself, becoming a force of such magnitude that he threatened to destroy the entire world and take all the Z-Fighters with him.

All in all, Morrow has already cemented himself as one of the strongest characters in history Dragon Ball Also one of the worst threats the heroes have to face. By the end of the arc, his strength was so great that all the Z-Fighters needed to work together in some capacity to finally take him down.

Moreau's personality was arrogant and incredible to watch

Morrow is the true equivalent of Cell

Perfect Cell was incredibly powerful during the Cell Saga, but the real reason he's so fondly remembered as one of the biggest villains in the franchise is because of his infectious personality. His arrogance and pride in being the perfect being in the universe fueled his inner drive to prove himself against Goku and the others, and his cheerfulness and constant putting others down certainly reflected this.

Similarly, Moro saw himself as the most superior life form who felt that his power gave him the right to do all the heinous things he did, such as draining entire planets of their energy. Anyone who tried to challenge him was seen as nothing more than a nuisance, something that endears Morrow to fans of Perfect Cell.

Naturally, this is not the first or last time Dragon Ball has experimented with such megalomaniacal tropes within its villains, as many of them behaved similarly. However, Morro's brand of villain still felt very unique in this context, and it successfully portrayed the irrepressible aspect that Toyotaro was aiming for with this villain.

Although Morrow met his end at the conclusion of the Galactic Prisoner Patrol arc, he is still remembered as a highlight. Dragon Ball Super as a whole. In a series where many of the main villains are redeemed to eventually become heroes, it's a breath of fresh air when one of the most powerful characters is rotten to the core, and unexpectedly so.
