What was previously believed
The concept of an earlier multiverse Daima
Although the concept of the multiverse was shown for the first time Super And as well as being expanded, nothing was said about its history or how it came to be. In total, there are currently 12 separate universes, each ruled by their own Supreme Kais and Gods of Destruction, and counting. The living universes existed in pairs, the total number of these pairs forming the number 13, i.e. universes 1 and 12, 6 and 7, 3 and 10, and so on.
The entirety of the multiverse is ruled by Grand Xeno, a force of infinite destruction that can wipe out entire universes with little effort. Known as the Omni-King, Geno was presented as the supreme authority in existence, although his personality is very childlike and innocent, so Goku was able to befriend him. Befitting his power, Xeno is generally indifferent to life as he can easily destroy entire timelines.
I destroy everything. All existence… has begun!
In the very distant past, there were originally 18 universes. However, Geno deleted 5 of them because he was annoyed at having to keep track of so many and due to the fact that these few had very low death rates. Although Xeno planned to purge even the weakest of the remaining universes, a Tournament of Power was held instead, where each of them was given a fighting chance to survive.
As for the individual universes, they are ruled by the Supreme Kais and Gods of Destruction, who are respectively responsible for creating and destroying life in order to further the evolution of the universe. Each destroyer god is accompanied by an angel attendant who acts as their teacher and is responsible for ensuring that they do their work adequately. So, in the case of the multiverse, Xeno was the highest authority imaginable.

The biggest revelation from Daima The demon realm came with the fact that it is incredibly old. So old in fact that it predates the entire multiverse, as it was explained to have existed before anything else outside of the realm. Although it remains a mystery how old it really is, it can be traced back to being the primary source of everything that came after.
Long ago, there was a supreme demon king who was generally thought of as a benevolent ruler. Although his true name was never revealed, he was known simply as the 'good' Supreme Demon King, and he sought to expand the boundaries of the Demon Realm. To do this, he created an entity known as the Majin Raimus, who gave it the power to create a multiverse outside of their home realm and ruled it as the ultimate authority.
Rymus then created the Multiverse so that many of the Demon Realm's inhabitants could leave, just as the Namekians did in Universes 6 and 7. Furthermore, to monitor the events of each universe, members of Rymus are selected. Glynde race to rule over the mortals of their universe, known as the Supreme Kais. However, after the reign of the Good Supreme Demon King ended, a final heir limited the way to and from the Demon Realm.
This revelation doesn't contradict the established lore of the series, it just adds more ground to build on in the future. Many have also spoken of Rhymus' similarities to Geno, suggesting that he may serve a high-level 'kai' role in the multiverse, Geno of the God of Destruction as Grand Priest and angel attendant, while others believe that Geno may also be a hypocrite posing as the ultimate authority. can So, as the lore of the multiverse grows, the possibilities for where the series could go in the future grow, adding massive amounts of world-building. Dragon Ball.
