The Japanese art brand collaborates with highly artistic anime
GAAAT Gallery is a Japanese art brand that focuses on “creating new experiences with art and technology”, and one of the ways they do this is what they call “Metal Canvas Art” (MCA). GAAAT describes MCA as follows:
MCA is a new arts experience offered by GAAAT. Each piece of metal canvas art is meticulously handcrafted by expert artisans to provide a unique immersive experience that emphasizes the three-dimensionality of the artwork along with the weight and beauty of the metal material. In addition, it provides high durability, resists sunlight and humidity, allowing its beauty to be enjoyed for a long time.
The artworks are created through an intensive layering process involving 32 layers of ink that create a tactile experience due to the “subtle unevenness” of the layers, giving the piece a sense of three-dimensionality. Each artwork is done in a pop-art type style that matches the aesthetic found in both Tite Kubo's original manga and the highly celebrated Thousand-Year Blood War adaptation that is now nearing its conclusion. Two of the pieces, titled “KISEKI”, feature portraits of Ichigo and Uryū created from a mosaic of various images from the series. Metal canvas artworks come with a certificate of authenticity, and this can be an attractive opportunity to acquire something interesting. Bleach Merchandise for the anime's international audience, the art collection is only available in the US.
