Mewtwo is already iconic, being the iconic number 150 in the first Pokedex and an artificially created 'mon based on the legendary Mew's DNA. This is one of the best decks in Pokemon Pocket. With the right setup, this powerful Psychic-type X Pokemon can one-hit-KO any Pokemon in the game.

Pokemon Pocket: How to Build a Mewtwo Ex and Gardevoir Deck
Stack psychic energy while disrupting your opponent's strategy with this dangerous Mewtwo Ex deck.
With the help of the Gardevoir Evolution line, the deck can generate plenty of extra energy to offset the cost of giving up two of them for an incredible sidedrive attack. Dealing with these cards can be difficult, so we've listed some options that will help you take down the Psychic deck before you spiral into another win.

Sabrina
Queen of Swapping
Pre-Mewtwo decks usually choose to start Mewtwo in the active slot and a Ralts on the bench, ready to start building it. With this amazing supporter, you can switch them out and take care of the root of the problem.
Although Sabrina lends the opponent the choice to choose which Pokemon to move to an active location, if the player doesn't plan accordingly, they will lose their precious Ralts to any of your Pokemon's stray attacks.
Timing Sabrina right will set your opponent back a few turns, especially if they don't have X-Speed.

Pikachu East
The fastest deck in the game
Although Mewtwo is a powerhouse that can easily beat any deck in the game, it takes a bit to get set up and going. On the other hand, Pikachu X is one of the fastest decks in the game and can easily run Psychic-type without too much fuss.
With a great opening hand of two Basic Pokémon and two Poke Ball Item cards, Pikachu X will be primed for a two hit KO before Mewtwo can find a Gardevoir card in his deck.

Articuno east
Freeze your opponent's bench
Articuno can be a bit slow to set up, but with one lucky Misty coin flip, you can easily gather enough energy to start chipping away at those pesky bench Pokemon. At 80 damage, Articuno ex can easily two-shot Mewtwo and hold its ground to defeat the next Pokemon on the next turn, giving you the win.

Pokemon Pocket: How to Build a Starmy and Articuno X Deck
Here's how to build a deck centered around the top-tier Starmie ex and Articuno ex cards in Pokemon TCG Pocket.
Most of the time, Articuno X is a backup for most Water-type decks, making the well-rounded Starmy X a better choice for battles against Psychic-types.
7
Starmie East
Easy to play aggressive decks
Starmie ex can't hit benched Pokemon like Articuno ex, but it can setup so fast that it will be your go-to Pokemon in the active slot. With an easy two energy, your Starmie ex will be able to deal a constant 90 damage to any Pokemon in your path, making light work of any Mewtwo.
By the time you have Starmie fully set up, the opposing Mewtwo will only be able to hit you for 50 damage, allowing you to defeat the Psychic Pokemon on the following turn before they can pull off a single sidedrive.
6
Frostmoth
Time to say good night
Frostmoth may not seem like a huge threat, but when it comes to effect conditions in Pokemon Pocket, Sleep is one of the best in the game. Frostmoth can sleep every turn, locking your opponent from switching out their Mewtwo, or Gardevoir if you can combo it with Sabrina.
Even if the opponent is able to pick up a Pokemon, Frostmoth can still deal 40 damage, which may not seem like much, but it can play as a temporary wall while you set up the rest of your Pokemon.
5
Charizard East
One of the most popular launchers
Charizard can be difficult to build. Its most powerful attack, Crimson Storm, costs a full four energy and will discard two at the end of the attack. Sadly, Charizard doesn't have any energy generators like Gardevoir which makes the cost a nuisance, but when set up well, the powerful Fire Lizard can one-hit KO Mewtwo.

From the frying pan…
If you manage to pull Moltres East, the Charizard deck is pretty good, but the only condition is that you have to rely on coin flips to set up Charizard for victory.
4
Venus East
Highest HP in the game
At a whopping 190 HP, even the mighty Mewtwo Ex cannot take down the giant Venusaur. With so much HP, a few potions, and some Ericas on your side, you have Mewt two ex-players pulling their hair out trying to defeat the Kanto starter Pokemon.
The deck has a lot of options for damage healing, so even if they manage to sidedrive once, if you draw the right hand, Venasaur East will be able to survive a follow-up attack after Gardevoir buffs Mewtwo back up to four energy.
3
Dragonite
A dragon-type powerhouse
Dragonite is one of the wild cards in the Genetic Apex Booster Set. This powerful and fan-favorite dragon can hit hard with its Draco Meteor attack, selecting four random Pokémon and dealing 50 damage to each.
This attack can stack, so if you're lucky, Draco Meteor will be able to match the 200 damage of Charizard's former Crimson Storm without the penalty of draining some of your Pokemon's energy. Unfortunately Dragonite requires two out of four energies to be water and electricity, making the deck a bit random at times.

Let's gamble
Using Misty is always going to be a gamble. You can only use a single supporter per turn, so you want them to be very effective. Misty will let you flip a coin until you land on tails and then give one of your Pokemon free energy for each head flip.
This card can be very strong in the first turn because you can cheat the lack of energy that players have on the first turn. If you're super lucky, you might even win on the first turn, if your opponent doesn't bench.
1
Red card
You are out!
This one can be a bit tricky. Mewtwo East relies on finding his Gardevoir line as quickly as possible, so using a red card can be a big gamble as it will return your opponent's hand to the deck, and they will draw three cards. You'll either get rid of their next evolution or possibly give them the card they've been looking for the whole time.
Fortunately, you can pair a red card with a hand scope to see your opponent's hand before you fully commit to turning cards.
