Game Pass brought me back to Call of Duty, and I love it
Call of Duty is as fun as ever with friends.
That's because, a week after four old COD titles (Call of Duty 1, 2, 4: Modern Warfare, United Offensive) were randomly added to the Microsoft Store, another batch of four titles has also been added to the store. The additions bring growing speculation that the games could join Game Pass at some point, though it's unclear when they will.
Ghost and Black Ops 3 are some of the four titles
As first spotted on Reddit, the following Call of Duty titles have been added to the Microsoft Store, complete with achievements and cloud saves.
-
Call of Duty: Ghosts (2013)
-
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (2014)
-
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 (2015)
-
Call of Duty: WW2 (2017)
Each game has a separate store listing, and in almost typical fashion, sells for full-price, AKA $59.99. That said, the real interest among gamers is that these games will be on Game Pass at some point soon, perhaps as an early Christmas present from Microsoft.
At this point, there are only two COD titles available on the subscription service. The first, Modern Warfare 3, was added to the library on July 23. Then, Black Ops 6 became the first day-and-date Call of Duty title when it launched on October 25.
PC versions of primary-multiplayer titles have been pretty exposed at this point, mainly due to exploits and hackers, so one begins to wonder if Microsoft has a deeper plan at play here. Only time will tell what will happen, although it is clear for now that the fire has been set.
