The game remains capped at 30 FPS, just like the original Switch version, and in some cases, it performs even worse. Blizzard aims to fix Overwatch performance issues on Switch 2
In a forum post, Blizzard responded to the performance issues Overwatch On the Nintendo Switch 2. The developer admits that the game is currently running at a lower FPS limit than intended on handhelds. Blizzard says a patch is in the works that will fix the problem, but no release window has been shared yet. It also highlighted several other issues reported by players, including custom keybinds not saving, Mystery Hero settings not updating correctly, and cosmetic bugs.
One of the biggest demands of Overwatch The community has removed the 30 FPS cap on Switch. So, when Blizzard revealed the Switch 2 version, expectations were high as the developer promised improved visuals, enhanced audio quality, and support for up to 60 FPS in handheld and docked modes. The goal was to provide a comfortable experience for fans on the move. However, the launch of the Switch 2 port has apparently fallen short of those expectations, leaving fans disappointed. Some players believe that the port offers little improvement over the original Switch version.
