Naruto Uzumaki, the Seventh Hokage of Konoha Boruto Yuga, is the strongest ninja that ever lived. In the Fourth Great Ninja War, which officially begins Naruto Chapter 515 On November 22, 2010, he reached an unprecedented level of power. Naruto Uzumaki unlocked great abilities in this battle, such as complete control over the Nine-Tails' power, the chakra of other tailed beasts, as well as meeting the Sage of the Six Paths and gaining half of his chakra to awaken the Six Paths Sage Mode.
It is also here that Naruto deploys his most powerful jutsu, that is, the Six Paths: Ultra Big Ball Rasenshuriken. Unfortunately, Naruto Uzumaki's strongest jutsu in the Boruto series is officially dead, and it's time for fans to say goodbye to it forever, knowing that it can never be recreated again due to the massive damage done to the series.
Boruto: The two blue vortexes are no longer visible Naruto using the Six Paths: Ultra Big Ball Rasenshuriken
Boruto: Two Blue Vortexeswhich officially began its run in V-Jump issue #10 on August 20, 2023, began on a very sour note for Naruto Uzumaki. This is because the Seventh Hokage of Konoha still resides in the dimension of Daikokuten, sealed by Kawaki. Boruto: Naruto the Next Generation Chapter 77, released on January 19, 2023. Currently, Kawaki has no intention of freeing Naruto. From the prologue of the Boruto series, we know that even when Boruto and Kawaki fight, it is very likely that Naruto Uzumaki will remain locked up. In other words, the return of the Seventh Hokage in this new story is unlikely to happen anytime soon.
Kurama: Looks like I've accumulated a lot of chakra. I'll send it your way now, Naruto! It's coming!
Naruto: I can feel it! All this natural energy is coming my way!

Naruto's Turns out, he's also been significantly nerfed Boruto. Not only was he forced to not use some of his strongest abilities, but at the same time, Naruto Uzumaki also had Kurama's powers taken from him. In Boruto Chapter 55, which was officially released on February 20, 2021, in V-Jump issue #4, Kurama officially died after using Baryon Mode, and as such, Naruto was no longer a Jinchuuri. Kurama clearly stated that he was no longer a superhuman, meaning that he was very weak at this point.
Even more surprising is that after Kurama's death Naruto lost contact with all the other tailed beasts, meaning he no longer even had access to their chakra. As such, the six path sage mode is now inaccessible to him. This also means that Naruto can no longer tap into the power of the Six Paths: Ultra Big Ball Rasenshuriken, which is his strongest jutsu to date and can deal devastating damage to enemies. With such a powerful jutsu no longer in his arsenal, Naruto is more vulnerable than ever.
“Normally, when a Jinchuuriki's bijuu is taken out, they die. But this does not apply to you. The bijuu chakra just disappears. It may seem to others that you are dead, but you are only in a temporary state of shock. Don't worry, you will wake up soon. The price to pay for Baryon mode, being careful is my life, but my life. No more superpowers, so if you do this much, you will join me soon, but that day Until then, be fine.- Kurama confirms Naruto's loss of jinchuriki status, Boruto Chapter #55
Naruto Uzumaki's new strongest jutsu is the Super Ultra Big Ball Rasengan
While Naruto Uzumaki has lost the Six Paths: Ultra Big Ball Rasenshuriken, he has some other new jutsu that are impressive. In the Boruto series, the most impressive new jutsu performed by Naruto was the Super Ultra Big Ball Rasenshuriken. This jutsu was first unveiled during the battle against Delta Boruto Chapter 33.
As the technique's name suggests, this jutsu sees Naruto create a massive Rasengan that is large enough to leave a crater behind. This is by far the largest Rasengan that Naruto has ever created, and in the absence of the Six Paths Chakra, it is the strongest ability he has up his sleeve that can cause devastating damage to enemies. Its powers are so vast that even Delta's chakra absorption techniques were completely overwhelmed by it, and it was destroyed with its heavy chakra.
Delta: This guy has so much chakra! Does he have no limits? How much more can be put out? What! My eyes are working perfectly!
Naruto: What about this technique? This will be the first time you hit it live! Savor this moment! Super Ultra Big Ball Rasengan!
— Naruto Uzumaki uses the Super Ultra Big Ball Rasengan for the first time.
Even though Naruto used this power in Six Paths Sage Mode, he still had to have enough chakra to pull it off. It should be noted that Kurama's chakra was slowly mixed with Naruto's own to give him a fairly large chakra reserve. As such, over the years, a large portion of Kurama's chakra has likely become Naruto's own, meaning that he should still have enough chakra to produce these types of techniques on multiple occasions in a single battle. Naruto is still a chakra powerhouse, just not at the level he used to be, but it is very likely that Boruto will also rectify that problem later on when he officially returns in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex.
Because Naruto's return will give him a new powerful jutsu
After the return of Naruto Uzumaki, which is officially set in the new post-Mamushi arc of the Boruto series, we know that the Seventh Hokage is going strong. This is because Sasuke Uchiha, his rival and equal, was confirmed to be remarkably powerful during timeskip training with Boruto Uzumaki. Boruto Volume #8 releases on June 1, 2026. In fact, Sasuke's power had reached such a level that he was able to fight Kod and take one of his eyes from him in battle. For Kod to suffer such a fatal injury means he is much stronger than when he fought Jigen. If Sasuke is this strong, after returning Naruto will be strong at the same level.
“To grow stronger during their training, Boruto and Sasuke's main food sources were fish and wild birds, which they hunted using Raiton and Shuriken, along with wild plants and mushrooms.” – Mikio Ikemoto Confirms Sasuke's Timeskip Power Up, Boruto Vol #8
In other words, Naruto Uzumaki is going to get upgraded in one form or another by Mikio Ikemoto and Masashi Kishimoto. Once he gets this upgrade, Naruto's overall powers will increase significantly, and we can be sure that he will get a shiny new jutsu that surpasses the Super Ultra Big Ball Rasengan. For now, the focus in the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex series is on the return of Sasuke Uchiha. It was only after Sasuke returned that Naruto Uzumaki's return could be facilitated. As such, the Uchiha's return holds great importance to the story. As Boruto continues in the ongoing arc, i.e., the post-Mamushi arc focusing on Hidari and Jura, it is possible that the former will fall, and his Thorn Soul Bulb will be used to bring back Sasuke Uchiha. With the return of Sasuke, Konoha can then work towards the return of Naruto Uzumaki, and we absolutely cannot wait to see that.
All chapters of Mikio Ikemoto's Boruto series, supervised by Masashi Kishimoto, are available to read through Manga Plus and Viz Media.
