One Piece: All Known Ancient Zoan Devil Fruit
Ancient Zoan Devil Fruits are the most unique in one piece. Here's what we know about all the reveals so far.
Most Devil Fruits are displayed with a name that identifies their user's exact form. Unfortunately, not every Zoan Devil Fruit has received such a distinction, and there are currently a handful of users whose exact powers are unclear outside of what they have been shown.
6 Onigumo's Devil Fruit
Allows Onigumo to transform into a spider
- Debut: Chapter 420 (manga), episode 302 (anime)
Vice Admiral Onigumo was one of the five sent to the Eniz lobby for a buster call. He is a firm believer in absolute justice, and sabers seem to be his weapon of choice. His Devil Fruit allows him to transform into a spider, though the exact type, if there is a specific one, is unclear.
Onigumo primarily seeks to use this ability to wield six additional swords in combat in addition to the pair in his original weapon. This is somewhat similar to the sword style of Hatchan and Heuzou, who use their octopus-like physiology to carry extra swords. Extra appendages appear to extend from his hair, and this appears to be the extent to which he uses his Devil Fruit abilities. Any other possible spider abilities, such as the use of webs and possible poisoning, seem to be of little interest to him, if at all he is capable at all.
5 Devil fruit of Epoida
Allows the epoid to transform into a caterpillar
- Debut: Chapter 553 (manga), episode 467 (anime)
Epoida is a subordinate captain of the Whitebeard Pirates, who historically traveled with the crew before their launch. The exact extent of his power is unknown, but he is likely strong enough to be one of Whitebeard's subordinate captains, some of whom are shown to be equally matched as Vice Admirals or the Pacifistas collectively.
Among the subordinate captains, Epoida is a particularly identified Devil Fruit user. His unnamed Devil Fruit allows him to transform into a caterpillar, but it is unclear how this affects his skills in combat (if indeed it does). His body hybridly looks like a segment like the pattern of his striped shirt. It is unknown if he can transform from his base form into a doll. Although if he did, it would probably be like Baron Tamago, who moves between three forms in one cycle from egg to chicken. It is likely that this aspect, as well as Epoida, will remain obscure, due to its already limited relevance in the series.
4 Dalmatian devil fruit
Allows the Dalmatian to transform into a dog
- Debut: Chapter 553 (manga), episode 462 (anime)
The Dalmatian is a vice admiral who, as his name suggests, has a devil fruit that transforms him into an iconic breed of dog. According to Kennel ClubDalmatians are “capable of great endurance and a reasonable turn of speed.” While the Dalmatian's true physical abilities have yet to be thoroughly measured, these traits are likely essential to becoming a vice admiral. The Dalmatian is almost always shown in its hybrid form, with both its dog-like and human features manifesting in different parts of its face.

Zoan Devil Fruits give their users some amazing abilities. These are the strongest ever demonstrated.
Instead of relying on weapons, the Dalmatian trained in Rokushki and physically enhanced his body to the point of being able to pierce Luffy's skin. In this respect, he is similar to various CP0 members, who used Rokushki in conjunction with their Zoan forms. It's unclear how he compares physically to the likes of Rob Lucci, but as a vice admiral, he has considerable power behind his title.
3 Stussy's Devil Fruit
Transforms Stussy into a vampire bat (?)
- Debut: Chapter 860 (manga), episode 830 (anime)
Stussy is a clone of Miss Buckingham Stussy, a somewhat old pirate who was once acquainted with Whitebeard and allegedly her lover. She was a product of MADS, an illegal research institute that included Vegapunk and other scientists of note. Stussy worked as a mole for Vegapunk and became an undercover agent of Cipher Pole 0 without being exposed to a suspect for over a decade.
During the Egghead arc, she betrayed Luchi and Kaku when they tried to fight Vegapunk, growing wings and bleeding to take out her fellow agents. It is likely a product of Devil Fruit, although the exact logistics have been unclear. It is notable that this Devil Fruit, while not seemingly awakened, can knock out users who awaken their Devil Fruits, though it is unclear if this is a testament to Stussy's power or the Devil Fruit itself. This could be either a standard or legendary Joan, due to the existence of real vampire bats and the fictional nature of vampires. It has similarities in some respects to Patrick Redfield's Devil Fruit Inn One Piece: Unlimited World RedBut its exact capabilities are not shown, which puts it squarely in the legendary category.
2 Pomsky
Transforms a Pomsky into a sea otter
- Debut: Chapter 1089 (Manga)
This vice admiral made his debut on the recently completed Egghead Ark, one of nine involved in what became known as the Egghead Incident. Even compared to some of the other vice admirals, little is known about him other than his somewhat adorable devil fruit.

Despite their relative rarity, having merfolk in one piece is not trivial, and their numbers are somewhat impressively strong.
Pomsky's unnamed Devil Fruit allows him to transform into a sea otter. However, the inherent nature of Devil Fruits restricts the Pomsky from one of the primary assets of mammals: the ability to cross water effectively. Although sea otters are capable of crossing land, many of their features are fundamentally aquatic. However, Pomsky ventured into an aquatic theme by using a mallet with a seashell-shaped hammerhead as his primary weapon.
1 The five elders
A chimera of the legendary Zoans
- First Chapter 233 (Manga), Episode 151 (Anime)
These semi-immortal nobles are the public face of the Emu, the true rulers of the world. Each of them is in charge of a specific position, which they call a “warrior god” such as justice, finance, or agriculture. Even though one of their number was killed and replaced, there are still many things that fans don't know about these people, including the names of their alleged Devil Fruits. Each one resembles a somewhat mystical mythical Joan, a rarely known version of the Devil Fruit.

Each of them also seems to be “awakened”. With Saturn's execution, it is unclear what kind of devil fruit the newest elder, Figureland Garling, has, or if he has any at all.
