Flowery ends as the climactic story boss Deltarun Chapter 5, and this fight quickly proves that he is far more dangerous than his cheerful appearance. The battle takes place at the top of the castle just before the fountain seals. This is one of the hardest mandatory encounters in Chapter 5. If you are struggling to beat Flowery DeltarunWe've compiled some of the best strategies to take him down.

How to climb vines in Deltarun Chapter 5
If you want to reach Asgore and Flowery at the top of the vines in Deltarune Chapter 5, you need to figure out how to climb them. Here's how.
How the flowery boss fight works
Flowery is the most important mechanic in combat Spirit ability. During the fight, Chris gains the power to charge and dash through blue objects. You can hold the charge button to build speed and burst through blue obstacles.
Breaking the blue objects clears the path. Not only that, each item destroyed generates TP. Almost every progression during combat depends on the mechanic Spending TP on ACT commands.
Keeping Susie and Ralsey alive is extremely important. Many stages of the Flowery boss fight require their assistance, and lets you use strong team ACTs when both party members are active.
Fill your inventory with healing items like green tea before entering the flowery boss fight. It restores a large amount of HP and can prevent a fight from getting out of control. We were lucky enough to stock up on green tea from a shop near the save point, and it helped us a lot in this fight.
How to beat the flowery boss in Deltarune
To defeat Flowery, your main objective is to use ACT orders To increase compassion and ultimately to advance war. Depending on your preferred route, you can use either Posey or Blowaway.
-
Posey needs careful timing. A small figure appears, and for maximum effect you must slot it as accurately as possible.
-
BlowAway requires you to hit Z as fast as possible.
Flowering attack patterns
In the first phase of the fight, Flory mainly uses two attacks. The first attack fills the field with blue bamboo barriers with really small openings. Try to move carefully while dashing. Since breaking bamboo gives you TP, try to destroy as many pieces as possible without taking unnecessary damage.
The second attack sees Flory charging straight into the party. When he turns blue and moves forward, try to quickly tap the charge button just before impact to knock him back. However, timing is very tight during fast scenes We suggest spam-tapping the charge button instead of holding it.
Aqua and Seth Duo
Once you've made enough progress, Flowery summons more flowers to assist him. The first pair consists of Aqua and Seth.
We tested it Once with both of them and once only with SusieAnd it was enough to send them packing.
Seth's attacks move large parts of the battlefield with blue areas while scrolling the text on the screen. Dash between safe areas and avoid making risky moves just to collect extra TP.

How to make Deltarune fullscreen
Deltarune strangely boots to a minimal screen if you're playing on PC via Steam. Here's how to get the best look with fullscreen mode.
You can collect the green words that pop up on the screen for extra TP. This is helpful, but remember, survival must always come first.
Aqua introduces one of the most difficult forms of combat. Chris has to wade through the blue lily pads while avoiding the currents of knives. Charge your SOUL to reach the first platform, then carefully move between the pads as they change locations.
Watch the movement of the lily pads instead of the knives. This makes the jumps easier.
Orange and green pair
The next pair, orange and green, continue with increasing difficulty.
To clear this step, use it repeatedly Admire ACT with Susie and Ralsei. If both party members participate, you can Beat the pair in two experiments.
Orange and Flower often combine attacks. In a variation both enemies charge directly at Chris. Successfully knocking them down prevents massive damage, but Orange retaliates by launching white fists across the arena.
Flowery can also fake his charge and suddenly swallow fire instead. Their next attack takes you to the bamboo mechanic while adding new threats. Small cactus plants appear between the barriers, and A A giant wall of thorns slowly rises behind Chris.
Break as many bamboo sticks as you can as you move forward. If you hesitate too long, the thorns will eventually catch up.
Blue and yellow pair
Blue and yellow are the final support flowers. In this step, you will use Justice Act. First, build max TP. Once you have enough TP, activate Justice to start a court style sequence.
During the test, select Accuses Moss and Florey as evidence. If you complete the sequence successfully, the story advances and the blue and yellow war is removed.
Their primary attack combines explosive flowers with dense bamboo structures. I do not recommend destroying every bamboo barrier. Instead, focus on maintaining a safe position and only break obstacles that naturally fall your way.
Next step
After removing each supporting flower, Flory launches her next attack.
-
He launches an upgraded version of his earlier attacks, featuring narrower bamboo gaps and increasingly aggressive charge patterns.
-
During a major sequence, you have to break through several bamboo walls and knock Flowery four separate times.
-
After surviving the attack, V. Open the ACT menu and select Susie's Idea. This option only appears if Susie is still conscious.
-
Flowery continues to use sophisticated bash attacks while releasing spinning projectiles across the arena. Heal as long as needed and continue to generate TP until the story event is triggered.
The last step
After choosing Susie's idea, the battle turns to the final stage. Chris is launched into a giant plant structure covered in trellises. You have to climb up through a small maze while a wall of thorns chases you down.
Despite the pressure, the forks move so slowly that minor mistakes are usually avoided.
At the peak, Flowery transforms into a power-up state. Thankfully, this section is much easier than what came before. The encounter becomes a side-scrolling sequence where Chris automatically advances.
When Flory glows and charges, hit him with your sword to knock him back. Some attacks are at ground level, while others require simultaneous jumping and slashing.
You will usually need to eliminate him seven or eight times before the battle ends. Even if you miss, Chris has enough HP to avoid most mistakes.
Once Flowery falls, the climactic battle of Chapter 5 is complete.
