Dragon Quest 1 HD-2D remake Much shorter than the sequel. Players can expect to spend 10 hours Completing the main story. Think about it DQ1 remake As a solo journey through the game world. There is not necessarily a series of 'main missions' and 'side missions' per se.

It's certainly possible to spend more than 10 hours on the game, especially if you do all 40 quests Dragon Quest 1 Remakeof 40 mini medals, but most players can expect an average of that time.
